"five, six, seven, eight" The class instructor says as the next group of dancers begin the combination.

Ella was in the next batch of dancers, getting ready and going over the set of moves she was about to do. She glances at the new girl, Talia, who was in the group who just started dancing. The way Talia moved on the marley was the definition of beauty in Ella's eyes.

"How are you feeling? Is your leg okay?" Connor, one of Ella's dance buddies asked her.

"Yeah I feel fine. With a little more conditioning I'll probably get back en pointe next week." She says with a forced smile. To be honest, Ella felt like she wasn't ready to get back up. It was all too fast for her. And now there's the new girl who was absolutely perfect. Ella felt like she wasn't improving and she hated that. She looked down at her feet, looking at the ballet slippers she wore. Sticking out like a sore thumb to the rest of the pointe shoes in the room.

"Next group get ready!" The instructor yells.

Ella gets into position and takes a deep breath. She starts off strong, focusing on her technique and working extra hard to make up for the lack of pointe shoes on her feet. But all the attention towards her technique had caused her to forget the next part of the combination.

"Come on Ella. Remembering combinations is something you pick up when you're a child." The instructor yells over the music. Ella curses at herself and continues with the combination.

Tired and panting, Ella rolls her ankle around feeling a little bit of pressure on it.

"Ella. I know you're just getting over an injury and you shouldn't work yourself so hard. But that doesn't excuse you from making rookie mistakes." The instructor says whilst walking towards the piano.

A heavy weight came upon Ella's chest. She walked back to her barre spot and stretched her back out. She looks around the room and her eyes land on a specific new girl talking with the instructor. A new feeling entered Ella's system. A feeling that made her heart hurt. A lot.

Ella throws her dance bag on the floor as she steps into the living room. Plopping on the couch, she looks up at the ceiling and thinks. Just thinks about anything and everything.

After a few minutes, she finally gets up and heads over to her discarded dance bag. She grabs a pair of pointe shoes and heads to the practice room, leaving her phone on the couch.

"Just one more time. I can do this." She says to herself. Ella was currently practicing the petit allegro from class earlier. It had been around four hours now and she hadn't taken any breaks in between. She was really beating herself up about the class she took hours prior.

Meanwhile, Karl was anxiously waiting for a reply from her. But he hasn't gotten one since the morning saying she was going to class and that she'd talk to him later. This worried the boy seeing that this had never happened in their relationship before. Karl sighed and decided to text Chandler to ask if he'd heard anything from her.
