"Hey pretty lady. Fancy seeing you here." Karl says as Ella walks up to him. More like limp. She was able to ditch the crutches but was still required to wear the boot for at least 2 more weeks.
"Karl, buddy, pal, you should really stop calling me that. My heart can't take anymore of it." You jokingly say.
The two of you had planned to watch a movie at his place since he'd been going to yours whenever Chandler visited you.
"Hmm maybe never." He said with a smile. "What movie to do you want to watch tonight?"
You gave the question some thought. After a few minutes, you came up with your answer.
"How about high school musical? I haven't watched that movie in so long." She said.
"Damn. I think I just fell in love." Karl jokingly says. Gaining a tiny blush from the female.
The pair reached Karl's house and he helped her out of the car.
They walked into the house and the first thing Ella noticed were the pictures that lined the walls. A bunch of pictures of Karl with his family and friends. She could even spot Chandler in some of them.
"Make yourself at home. You can sit anywhere." Karl says while heading to the kitchen.
Ella takes a look at the living room and sits at the end of the couch. Karl walks back to the living room with two monsters, handing Ella one but she declines.
"I'm sorry I don't like energy drinks. They give me headaches." She said.
"Oh that's totally fine. He said while placing both cans on the coffee table. "Do you want anything else to drink?" He asked.
"I'm fine. Thanks for the offer though."
Karl nods and gets the movie ready. He turns off the lights and sits close to Ella but not so close that it makes the air awkward.
After starting the movie, he looked over to Ella and notices that she's slightly shivering.
"Hey are you cold?" He asks.
"Yeah a tiny bit but I'm fine." She says, not taking her eyes off the screen.
Karl smiles and scoots closer to her. She looks at him confused as he puts his arm around her.
"Body heat to keep you warm." He says with a smile.
"You're oh so very slick mister Karl Jacobs." She says with a blush that's hidden in the darkness.
About an hour into the move, a weight drops onto Karl's shoulder. He looks down at the sleeping girl on his shoulder and can't help but smile. He didn't try and wake her up. Instead he let himself also fall asleep in the company of the girl.
