The song I put above is when Millie and Finn are slow dancing to ❤️

Le Havre,
Palace.

She stretched her arms out wide, as she began to wake herself up from the irritating alarm ringing in her head. Lightly, she turned it off and got up from her queen-sized bed. When she finally finished mentally waking herself up, she's immediately hit with a burst of energy remembering what day it was.

She was so happy and joyful when being told she was allowed to go. She thought how she'd dance with Sadie under the glowing lit hall, she'd show off her elegant prom dress to everyone and most importantly, she'd slow dance with her best friend and her biggest lover. A huge toothless grin was attached to her face as she got ready in a haste.

It was hitting 7:30 as she made it out of her private bathroom. She hugged the note close to her chest, slightly getting wet now as she put it on top of her vanity, with the rest of the notes.
'Dear most beautiful, caring, funny, intelligent, and kindest (sometimes) Millie, you're AMAZING. Remember that. Nobody can replace you. :)).'
Just as she buttons up her white blouse she hears a knock at the door, before the door creaks open.
"Can I come in?" He asks eyes closed shut as his curly head pops around the door. She smiles at his goofy image before she puts her hand on the door.
"Nope. We cannot see each other before the prom. We spoke about this in the Rose Garden. Last night, remember?" Memories of the night before, flash in her mind.

After whirling around like a child, in the night cold for a few seconds, she drops down onto the ground. Looking up, at the twinkling stars and she cradles herself into a sitting position.
"Prom, huh? Whatever you were, you'll look beautiful, that's for sure." He glances at her, to see a smile shyly appearing on her face.
"Like I already know," She remarks, though they both knew she loved how he complimented her. Small things mattered. "I was thinking...If we didn't see each other until prom actually started, it'd be a surprise. Wouldn't it?''

''Away from each other for at least...ten hours? How will I stand being away from you for that long? I'd just come crawling back for you.''

''Since you're being such a big baby about not seeing me!-- You can only see me in the morning, that's it.''

''Ok, that's still not fair but I accept the offer. See you at your school, eight?''

''Seven - and don't be late.''

''You know me, I can't stick to the rules.'' He turns his heart-warming smirk to a pouty lip. ''Please, can I come in now? Pleasseee!'' Rolling her eyes, she opens the door for him as his tall image stares down at her tiny size.

As he plops down onto her bed, she slams the walking closet doors shut. Then she walks to a mirror nearby, fixing her still-damp hair. She falls surprisingly quiet, Finn manages to sit up and notices this, being quiet is unusual for her.

''Ya know, I thought you'd be more excited today. Has something happened?'' Now he stands up, slowly walking up behind her. She tries to put on a smile but ducks her head down the moment tears develop in her eyes.

''I am...Very excited.'' Yet there's no sign of emotion in her voice.

''You sure? You don't sound okay, mills.'' She doesn't look to face him as her head is still signaled down. Gently, he takes ahold of her hand as she turns to look at him. The gentle, simple touch makes her feel more relaxed. His touch would be something she could never replace. ''We could talk about it...Was it your mom?''

''No, it's...S-Sadie. She spoke to her mom about something and it didn't end well for her. She's being sent-away fr-from--'' Millie struggles to finish the sentence as she brings her hands up to her face and breaks into a small sob. Without hesitation, Finn brings her into a small hug. Her head buries into his chest and she lets out a few small cries. His hand rests on her head and his other on her back, caressing her gently. ''Today is the last day a-and I wanted to be happy for her...I just- don't be sad.''
