The first match had ended. Shouto stood up from his seat and began walking out of the stadium. In the halls, where Recovery Girl's Temporary Nurse's Office took place in the middle of, he walked supposedly quietly though many things were on his mind. However, what took up the most space was the battle.
As he passed various rooms, he passed a person he did not want to see. Definitely not ever. Even if he had to attend this guy's funeral. Most likely, Shouto'd die before that'd happen, seeing who he was.
As the man came more and more clear to Shouto's view, Endeavor said, "You disgrace me, Shouto." He was leaning on a wall, crossing his arms. Also glaring at his son.
Shouto did not say anything. Endeavor's flames crackled with a bit of impatience.
"You could've crushed the Obstacle Course and the Cavalry Battle if you'd used your left side," he pointed out.
Shouto kept walking. Just in front of him...
"Grow up," Endeavor growled. "Stop rebelling like some petulant child. Remember, your sole duty is to surpass All Might."
Again, Shouto ignored him. He kept walking.
"Understand?" Endeavor's voice turned into a more impatient and dutiful one. "You're different than your siblings. You're my greatest creation!"
Shouto was at a good distance from his father, but it seemed impossible to escape these chains of memories and doubt. It was his father holding him back. Growling, he finally built enough patience to say something.
"Is that all you have got to say to me?" Shouto asked. He wasn't looking at him, but Endeavor knew this direct question was for him. He grit his teeth, but his back was towards his father.
"I'll win this with Mom's power alone," Shouto declared. "I'll never use your power in battle." He continued to walk, becoming smaller from Endeavor's sight.
Endeavor grunted then smirked. "That may be good enough while you're still a school kid," he said, "but you'll reach your limit soon enough."
Shouto somehow was able to keep his anger to himself without retaliating back at his father.
Endeavor knew that saying things like this wouldn't get Shouto's attention effectively enough. He knew one of his son's greatest weak points.
"And that (L/N) girl, (Name), was it?" he added. "She's got a good chance of making it top. I know you like her. She's the one with... those, oh, what do you call them? Pokemon."
Shouto froze in his tracks. After a moment of silence, Endeavor smirked, knowing this got Shouto's attention. With a first shaky breath then a voice meaning to kill, Shouto finally spoke up.
"Don't you ever mention (Name) like that," he ordered. "I like (Name), but I won't ever let you use her like that. Never in a million years. Not in forever."
And after that, he was gone like the wind.
Talk about a horrible father.
~-Present time-~
It's time...
(B/N) grinned rather so slightly, it went unnoticed.
"The cream of the crop, and yet, this guy's still as plain as they come!" Present Mic introduced the tape quirked boy to the pros and audience. "Hanta Sero of the Hero Course!"
"Ouch..." Hanta winced at the introduction the Voice Hero gave, stretching his arms. Plain. He didn't get that often, but it wasn't uncommon, either. At least make it sound polite.
