"How much longer is this going to go on?" Rocky groaned quietly, as they watched Jackson attempt to perform a magic trick on Ethan

"Eh, give him a break. He's just happy." Farrah smirked, thinking about the night before

"Yeah, a little too happy. Got anything to confess, short stack?" She taunted, hoping for a certain response

Farrah only shrugged in response, fueling her playful annoyance, as she lightly smacked her in the arm.

"Seven of clubs?" Jackson asked, bringing their attention back to his magic attempt

"No." Ethan denied, growing annoyed with his many guesses

"The two of diamonds?" Jackson tried, again.

"Yes." Ethan nodded at the teen

Jackson face broke out into an excited smile, "Really?"

"No, I just want this to be over." Ethan groaned, flopping onto Max's bed

Farrah took the deck from Jackson's hands, pulling a random card out of the middle, which just happened to be a four of spades.

"By some miracle, and 1/52 chance, was this your card?" Farrah asked, moving her fingers around for dramatic effect

"Holy crap. How'd you do that?" Ethan gasped, sitting up straighter

Jackson crossed his arms and looked at her, waiting for an explanation, as well.

Farrah glanced at the stack of cards in her hand, just as confused as the rest of them, "Magic?"

Jackson groaned, making her laugh, and give him a kiss on the cheek to keep him from pouting like a toddler.

"All right, he may not be the world's best magician, but he's gonna be great in Pippin." Ramona defended

The thought of Pippin had completely been in the back burner of Farrah's mind for the past couple of weeks. She still attended practice and worked on lines with Jackson, but she was 100% freaked to sing in front of people. She thought avoiding any thoughts about it would make her feel better, but obviously that wouldn't help.

Jackson may not be the best magician, but he can seriously sing. How is the inexperienced female lead supposed to compete with someone with raw talent?

"Ah, I couldn't have done it without my understudy and Catherine, herself." Jackson spoke, bringing Farrah back to reality as she smiled in appreciation

"Ramona, you helped me learn my lines, my steps, my acting. You even taught me how to take a bow and accept a bouquet of flowers."

"Oh, great, now I have to bring flowers for two people." Rocki groaned, "I'd rather watch you do magic."

"And what was it that I helped you with?" Farrah whispered to Jackson, while Rocki continued to complain

"Confidence." He smirked with a wink
