Chapter 7 - Morning After

Setting:

Louis's car which sat in Ericson High School's parking lot. Then down the lot and through the double doors of the school.

Only the normal swearing and a dash of hinting/foreshadowing👀👀 No smut or anything like that, just a description on how Louis's morning went. Enjoy!

Monday, November 2nd 2020, 7:42 A.M.

Tap tap tap!

"Bro! Wake up sleepyhead! Jesus, you're a fuckin' log man..."

Louis flickered his hazy eyes open and found himself facing the steering wheel as he laid on his left side, drooling all over the blanket and the 2nd row of seats. His dreamless sleep was interrupted by rapid, aggressive tapping on the drivers side window. He sat up rubbing his dreary eyes while yawning. He wiped his face of drool and stretched his arms, which immediately hit the roof of his car as he was naturally tall and broad, being Ericson's number one basketball star and all.

Louis fixed his hazy gaze on the drivers side window, which showcased a blonde, blue-eyed young man named Marlon, Louis's best friend. He stood right outside his car, looking in on the disheveled boy his a grin on his face, nearly on the edge of bursting out in laughter at the sight of his best friend. Louis gathered his keys, wallet, and phone and immediately placed them in his pockets, unintentionally ignoring the buzzes that came from his phone. Marlon smiled and placed his hands on his hips as Louis sloppily stepped out of his car and stretched again, letting out a satisfied groan.

Marlon wore a buttoned up red and blue letterman's jacket with the school's "E" emblem on the right side, along with black sweatpants and all black high-top Vans. He of course was sporting his famous rat-like haircut, which he loved while others looked at it with confusion and disgust. His eyes were sprinkled with an icy blue color and minor acne ruled his face.

Marlon stood only an inch taller than Louis, but he was more solidly built, which he utilized in basketball, playing right beside Louis at power forward on the varsity team. The pair is feared across the state as they are the highest ranked duo. With Louis's versatility and Marlon's strength, the two of them are unstoppable. They both made the varsity team freshmen year and won 3 straight state championships since then. They're focusing on their fourth one in a row, which takes place in about 2 weeks on Saturday, November 14th.

Anyway, Louis wore exactly what he wore all day and night yesterday: a white t-shirt under his red long-sleeve sweater with relatively short black shorts and white slip-on vans over white shin-high socks. Marlon didn't know that Louis wore that same outfit for over 24 hours... yet.

After Louis stretched, he adjusted his pupils to the sunlight looked around the school parking lot. He saw that it was nearly full, signaling that the beginning of school was near. The sky was painted its usual light blue, with clouds scattered around messily, randomly covering the sun's rays every now and then that occasionally creating a dark atmosphere on the Earth's surface. It was breezy, however it wasn't too cold nor was it too hot.

Many students were walking from their cars and towards the front of the school, all while giving Louis a mix of confusing looks as well as flirtatious ones from most of the girls. The usual Louis thought. He was used to it, even after starting a relationship with Clementine, who didn't think fondly of it. Louis assured her that it always happened to him, but he refused to give in to every single one, thinking that it was pointless and only for the physical appeal. It most definitely didn't distract him from Clementine, the first and only girl he dearly cared for.
