Chapter 14 - Disappearing Act

Setting:

For Clem, the girls locker room, then down to the school's outdoor track and field.

For Louis, the boys locker room, then the multipurpose gym, then down to the track and field.

Just an FYI: I made some semi-major changes to Clem's. Those changes can be seen in chapters 2 and 6. For those who have been caught up this whole time: Lee and Carley are NOT her adoptive parents. For those who've seen those chapters with the new edits, y'all got nothing to worry about. I replaced Lee and Carley with Clem's original parents for plot thickening. Also, AJ is NOT Clem's adoptive brother but instead a boy she has to babysit almost everyday. His respective parents, Alvin and Rebecca, are his current parents in this story. I hope y'all don't get too lost with that😅😅

Anyways, same general warnings: no smut, just cursing and some fluff perhaps. Enjoy!

Clementine

"There you are Clementine!"

Brody excitedly greeted Clem into the bright and unusually quiet girls locker room as Violet and Sophie closely followed her to the entrance. Clem smiled and shut the door behind her as she stood to face the three other girls, who were awkwardly staring at her face, more specifically her mouth, where faint streaks of pink were scattered around her mouth area.

"What's wrong with your mouth Clem? Your lips are all uh... messy" Sophie asked curiously, tilting her head slightly to the left. Violet crossed her arms while Brody shifted in her position. Clem's eyes widened as she quickly brushed her right hand over her mouth to cleanse the smears off her face, then she smelled her fingers to figure out what the residue was. Her embarrassing expression quickly subdued as she instantly recognized the scent: it was her strawberry lip balm that she applied this morning.

Clem quickly rubbed her right hand on her sweatshirt as she reassuringly motioned both her hands. "Oh uh, it's nothing guys, don't worry about it. Louis and I... we just... we uh-"

"Were you two at least alone?" Violet interrupted slyly, a smirk on her face. Sophie and Brody turned their heads and stared at her with elated confusion, snickering, while Clem glared at Violet with sarcastic anger. "Hey! We didn't even do any of... that! We just... cuddled and stuff in the library, that's all" Clem replied shyly, looking down while her cheeks flushed with pinkish embarrassment.

"Yeah yeah suuuurrreee, whatever you say" Violet said sarcastically. "Just get ready, ok? Bell's gonna ring and you know how coach Lilly gets when we're late" she finished, smiling innocently. Clem looked up and nodded her head while the three other girls turned around and gathered their things, already dressed in their proper sporting attire.

Brody clattered away in her black soccer cleats complete with shinguards and black knee high socks covering them. She wore a black and red striped long sleeve sports shirt and black athletic shorts. Violet and Sophie wore similarly styled clothing since they both participated in cross country with Clem. Violet wore dark blue trainers with black athletic shorts and a black short sleeved shirt. Sophie had neon green trainers with a loose white sleeveless top and black athletic shorts; she visibly had a black sports bra underneath her shirt.
