Peter POV:
She was gone.
She was really gone this time.
What was I supposed to do now? My best friend was gone.
I do not think I moved, ate, or washed for 2 days after I found out she was ...... gone. I was just lying there staring at the ceiling when I heard my door open........ "Hey, kid." He sat on the edge of my bed. "We're holding a funeral for her today so would you, um, come? It would mean a lot." He announced. "you're holding a funeral? Already?" I exclaimed. "Yeah. I know it is hard to admit that is she has gone but we need to give her a proper send off. She would have wanted it." He assured me. "Would she though?" I grunted. "Listen. I know it is hard, but I think it would be best if you came. Give you some closure." He suggested. "Only if I get to carry her......." I blurted out. "Kid I can't ask you to do that-" I cut him off "please Mr Stark?" I pleaded. I looked at him, my face all red from my daily meltdown. "Sure kid. If that's what you want." He smiled sadly.
I got washed and dressed into my best suit. I looked at myself in the mirror to see how I looked but I did not see myself. I saw Y/n. I must be hallucinating. So, I just brushed it off and walked out of my room to see May standing there with a black dress on. I was so grateful that I would not be alone, and she would be coming with me. When we got to the compound, all the avengers were there. "Hey kid, glad you could make it. I really need you here......." he uttered. "Mr Stark, I thought it was hard for me. I never even thought about what you and Miss Potts are going through." I sympathised.
Lots of people came up to me and Mr Stark to give their respects. To be honest I do not know why they were talking to me, it is not as if they knew who I was.
Then came the dreaded moment came. When we had to carry her to the compound gardens and bury her. Me and Mr Stark were at the front, behind us were vision and War machine and at the back were, to my surprise were Captain America and Hawkeye. Whilst I was walking down avoiding eye contact, I looked over at Mr Stark, to find his eyes red and swollen from crying. "I loved my daughter so, so much. She was a brilliant friend, daughter and overall an amazing person.........sorry.........She would not want us to be crying, she would scold me for embarrassing her like this. She would be sitting down over there, all red in the face, covering her face telling me, no begging me to stop." He chuckled to himself and so did everyone else. It was the first time I had smiled in 2 days. It was the first time anyone in this hall had smiled upon hearing about her passing....
After the service was over, I went to the bathroom to wipe my face after crying.
Then I saw my reflection........no it was not my reflection. No, it was Y/n's....... what was happening. I stumbled back hitting my head on one of the barroom stalls. "Kid? You, ok? You looked dazed." He pointed out. "Mm? Oh yes I'm......I'm fine......" I stammered. "Ok...... if, you're sure." He said unconvinced. "it's just....... no, you'll think I'm crazy." Shaking the thought immediately. "Try me kid. Have you even been around for the last week or so?" He sadly smiled. "it's fine Mr Stark, really."
Tony: ok. Well, we are going to have food now. Feel free to join us.
He patted me on the shoulder then turned and left. As soon he left, I investigated the mirror again. Nothing. She was not there.
Tony POV:
Why was he acting so weird? Did I do something? No. It does not matter.
I was disturbed from my thoughts by Wanda. "Hey, stark." She spoke unenthusiastically. "Hey .... Wanda. I'm sorry for keeping you confined for so long." I apologised, scratching the back of my neck. "Oh, is that what we're calling it? Anyway, I did not come here to argue. Not at your daughter's funeral." She Agreed. "What is it exactly that you want?" I questioned, hesitantly. "To speak to you. About Y/n." She claimed. "What about her?!" I shouted, slightly aggravated. "Is she your real daughter?" She stated. "Why?" My aggravation building up. "Because something important did come out of your imprisonment of me." This made me just look at her. I hesitated then said. "Well.... she is my daughter, but...." I trailed off, contemplating if I would say anymore. "But what Stark?" She urged. "Me and Pep adopted her after one of our missions." I sighed. "It was to infiltrate one of the Hydra bases. She was there for testing. But not willingly like you chose. No, she was taken. Bless her she was only 4 or 5 at the time. Her shivering curled up in the corner of a cell. I could not leave her there. But I knew it would be a risk as she had she been experimented on, and I didn't know what she could do." I claimed. " You see, I have reason to believe she is my younger sister." She stated bluntly. "don't see the resemblance." I shrugged. "Stark." She snapped. "You haven't shown me proof Wanda!" I exclaim, waving my hands around. "Stark. C'mon. I'll show you your 'proof'." She put air speech Marcos around proof.
I followed Wanda to the lab. There stood vision doing something on one of the screens. "Umm. When did I allow anyone to touch my stuff? Are you giving out invites?" I snapped, pointing a finger around at vision. "Relax Stark. You wanted proof? Here you are." She motioned to a screen in front of me. I looked at the screen to see a birth certificate for an Adela Maximoff. Born to an Oleg and Irina Maximoff. Then it showed me a passport for the girl, and the picture looked exactly like Y/n had when she was younger, or more accurately when I adopted her. "See Stark. She is my sister. She was my sister this whole time and I did not even know. We were close friends Stark, do you know how much it hurt losing her once, and now to find out I have already lost her. To lose someone twice?! Do you know how that feels!" She shouted out, tears welling up. "I'm so sorry Wanda. For everything." I walked over to her and patted her on the shoulder awkwardly.
"It's ok. But I do need to tell you something. Obviously, me and Pietro have had powers because something inside us was activated by the mind stone." She stated, wiping away some of the tears that had trailed down her cheeks.
"Well Y/n had the same genes as us. So, when they experimented on her with different things it caused them to activate. But they were a lot stronger, more powerful." She admitted. "I did some more research to find what they did to her. And it was horrible. They shot things in a confined area with her in so she could absorb it." She broke off, vision came over to her and placed a hand on her cheek and gave her a sad smile. She nodded in response then continued. "It was things was high toxicity. Even the mind stone. I remember Strucker sending It to another hydra base. They must have used it on her. They experimented with some of the most toxic chemicals in the world because she seemed to withstand all of it without some of the usual long lasting effects, then decided to try the mind stone. Its all because of her gene.... Tony, she's even more powerful than an infinity stone."
