Y/n POV:
"Well, maybe we can try and figure out how to control it. If we manage that, you can go anywhere and find out things." I suggested.
He opened his mouth to object but closed it before he could. "We're trapped in these useless rooms, unsure as to what that guy has planned for us. We need to try something." I stated. "Yeah, I get that, but how? What could we do to train? Like you said, the room is useless. Besides, this is not about physical training, this seems more like controlling my mental state." He pointed out. "I suppose. All right. Close your eyes and clear your mind. Then focus on wanting to become invisible."He sat down in front of me. He closed his eyes, then sat in silence. Nothing happened. "Are you focusing hard enough?" I questioned, sitting down in front of him. "Yes!" He snapped. He opened his eyes and sighed. "Sorry. I just do not want to be here any longer. And now knowing that I'm trying to help get you out as well is just kind of stressing me out." He said sheepishly. "No, it's fine. Probably was not going to happen on the first go. We'll keep trying, yes?" I asked, smiling. "Yeah." He smiled back.
We kept trying and trying, to no avail. There was shouting, arguing and even more shouting.
"URGH! I cannot do it! It's no use!" He shouts, standing up in frustration. "No, we can't stop trying." I stated, trying to stay calm. "What's the point?! We are never getting out of here! Never going to see our family again. Not going to see our friends again. We are stuck. We're trapped as pawns for this guy and there's nothing, we can do about it Y/n!!" He shouted out. The first time saying my name. "You know what?! We are stuck here forever! This guy will kill us once he has done with us! If so, I will not ever get to tell my friends and family how much I love them and appreciate them! Maybe...maybe..." I slumped down. Sighing in defeat.
I felt a light touch on my shoulder. I looked up to see Miles. "I'm sorry. I was just frustrated at myself, but your right. We can't lose hope." He gave me a slight smile. "Ok let's try this again, shall we?" He asked, a hand outstretched for me. I grabbed it and he pulled me up.
He stood there; eyes closed. Deep in concentration. Suddenly, I could not see him. "Miles? Did you, do it?!" I exclaimed, the excitement raising in my voice. "I-I think I did!" I heard his voice say. "Ok. We do not know how long you will be able to keep it up, so let us try and get you out of the room to explore. Once you get out try look for exits and listen in on conversations." We walked over to the door to find it sealed but without a lock. There was a red shade on the handle instead. "Do you think I should try and blast in open?" Miles asked. "Worth a shot." I said, not knowing where to look. Suddenly out of nowhere an orange ball blasted at the door. When it hit the door, it just sizzled into it. "Wow! I managed to do it! But...what do we do now?" Miles questioned. "I'm thinking."
Then I thought of something. "I could try. I mean, I don't know how to but it's worth a shot." I closed my eyes, concentrating. I swirled my fingers around like I saw Wanda do when she used her powers. Then a tingle come from my hands. "No! OH MY GOD I DID IT! Ahem. Let us do this." I straightened my posture. "What are you waiting for? Do it!" I heard Miles shout. I swirled my fingers, feeling a new amount of power surging through me. I fired my powers at the shade. Instead of absorbing it, it went away completely. "Huh...well, ok then. Try and find out as much as possible I guess." I shrugged, still not convinced. I felt a breeze blow beside me, then the door shut.
Miles POV:
I crept down the basic, pale hallways. I walked on but found no new doors to go through. I kept on walking until I heard shouting. I jogged over to a door that I had only just noticed.
"No! We must let them go! If we do not my plan will not work! If we let them go then it will-" I heard the guy who trapped us here say. "Well, that plan better work. Your plan didn't go that well last time." Another voice cut him off. "That's because you took control. If you let me, do it this time, it will be sure to work. Soon enough we will be free, and the whole universe will belong to the dark dimension." The guy bowed down and started walking towards me. I ran, not knowing where I was going. I found a door that appeared right in front of me, but I did not have time to ponder. I ducked in and shut the door.
I was swallowed in immediate darkness as I shut the door. My breathing seemed to elevate in volume. I tried to quiet my breathing until I could not hear anything. I could not hear anything!
I thought 'I need to get back to Y/n!' I opened the door and peaked down the halls. The coast was clear. I ran down the empty corridors searching endlessly for a door I recognised. As I ran, I saw the outline of my hands fading into view. I tried focusing my mind to stay invisible, but my mind was buzzing too much. I seemed to loop back around and around; all the walls looked the same. I still let running, running, running. Then I noticed that the brightness of the halls was dimming. I slowed down. I was then met by his taunting voice booming in my head.
"Now what are we doing here? Eavesdropping? This will teach you."
