"You said you have an idea of my sister's whereabouts and how I can get back home," I repeated her earlier statement waiting for her to confirm it.

"Yeah, that place you were led to two places, here and a small village called Jaelynn, so she is probably there, since you got here through the portal from a book the closest portal back to your place will be in the north pole, but there is no north pole in this realm or any of the realms, Santa usually come here to collect elf and some elf come to these realms for some reasons that I don't care about, I can get you to the place then from there you'll follow the elf to the north pole, from there you are on your own, you will keep looking for a portal and one's you find one you'll go through it and bam, you are home." She explained.

"Okay, thank you," I said gratefully.

"Now you know how you can get home so bye." She said expecting me to leave.

"Wait I thought you are helping me." I can't do this on my own.

"You mean to follow you, help you lead the way?" She asked.

"Yeah, can't you do that?" I looked at her hopeful.

"I can only if you become a cipher, you will clean my mess always." She said with her head raised.

"No thank you, I am not interested, thanks for helping me up to this point," I said and got up.

"You can't survive out there on your own, there are monsters and in no time you can get lost." She hoped I'll agree to her offer, but no thanks.

"I'll manage unless you change your mind and decide to help me," I said narrowing my eyes at her.

"Why would I do that?" She asked with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Because I have something you cannot live without, your ring," I said and brought it out for her to see, her face turned as white as snow as she looked at it.

"That's just a ring, it's of no special use to me." She said with a scoff but kept her eyes on it.

"So you mean if I destroy it, it won't mean anything to you?" I said awaiting her response.

"What do you want in turn for that ring?" She said with a pained expression, she wanted to use me, thankfully I have heard of people like her, she is a cipher, making someone into a cipher frees you from being one and you become a normal fairytale creature, the normal one's Kalnins.

She must have disguised herself like a Macquarie, when she went out I searched the tent and found weapons and items that belongs to only a cipher and if she truly was a Macquarie she would not be living alone, maybe she left where she was all so she won't clean up people's mess, it's automatic, any mess she sees she must clean and also all cipher are olive green in complexion, she masked her skin but not totally, under her chin is olive green, she didn't mask it properly, I know this from the novels I have read.

"That's what I thought, you will help me find my sister and follow me to the north pole to find a portal," I said firmly.

"No I will not, I left where I was so I won't clean up people's mess, now you want me to do the same for you? I will not."
I realized that if I don't do something soon my hold on her will loosen and she'll see I am only bluffing.

"I won't make you do that I will look like a cipher so we will both be a cipher meaning you will remove all the disguise you have."

"Okay, after I help you what will become of me." She said eyeing me.

"You will come back here and continue to live your life like before, as though I was never here," I said with a smile.

"Okay I'll help you only because I have no choice, didn't you say you know nothing about a Macquarie and you are confused, did you lie to me?" She asked.

"Not entirely?" I said shrugging my shoulders.

"You did!! But no matter what don't wear my ring." She said sternly.

"I am not cruel, I will not wear it," I assured her.

I needed to act smart if I want to get Bridget and reach home safely, I hope this is not going to be an adventure gone wrong, I resisted the urge to wear the ring on my finger, this ring is her life source, anyone that wears it will have her life in their hands and will be able to control her, she will not be able to resist doing whatever the person tells her.

I won't wear it no matter what, I looked around the tent to find a disguise, I need to look like a cipher, the ciphers are usually olive green, I wonder if she has an olive green skin mask or something like that.

"I am done." She said as she walked into the tent looking like a real cipher, she did well in hiding it, her skin is back to its original color and hair.

"Good, do you have any olive green skin mask and clothes that I can wear?" I asked.

"I have a skin mask for you but if you didn't notice I am a female, my pants will be too tight for you, use the skin mask and take your shirt off, leave your pants on, that shirt will make your disguise look fake, I'll take you where you can fully be clothed tomorrow, for now, go to bed." She said and I took the skin mask from her and did as she said.

"We will leave very early so go to sleep, I'll keep watch." She said and I rejected the offer.

"I'll keep watching you while you go sleep," I said leaving no room for arguments.

I went outside and sat on a rock in front of the fire and stared at the night sky, wondering how Bridget is doing, I hope she is safe.

"Are you sure you don't want to sleep?" I asked again.

"Yes, go to sleep, we will leave very early as you said,"  I told her.

"Okay but I am not sleepy."

"Go lay down in the tent then."

"You can't boss me around just became you have my life source, I'll stay here just in case you decide to throw my life source into the fire." She said narrowing her eyes at me.

"I won't," I assured her.

"Maybe I don't trust you." She said furrowing her brows.

Bridget's POV

"Where am I? My head hurts so much." I moaned out.

"You are in Jaelynn dear." A voice said to me.

"Who are you? And how did I get here? Where is my moron of a brother?" I asked confused and slightly annoyed, how did I end up here?

"I found you laying on a bed of snow unconscious and you were alone, I don't know how you got here but I am guessing it's through a portal." The old woman said.

"What are you talking about old hag, where am I?" I asked again, this bitch better start talking.

"I told you, you are in Jaelynn." She said irritated.

"And where is Jaelynn?" I asked cocking my brows.

"Jaelynn is a small village and you are in the realm of the living and spirits, you are in sythjy, you will slave for me for the rest of your life, I have never seen your kind of cipher before." She said amused.

"I will not slave for you disgusting thing, take me back home now, is this some sort of prank, if it is I SWR—" I began but the old hag interrupted me, rude much.

"Who are you calling a hag?" She asked furiously as she shot a ball of fire at the wall.

"I am a Scarer, because I am old does not mean I have forgotten how to chant spells or I am powerless, you will slave for me for the rest of your life, give me your life source now!!!" She stated firmly with her arms stretched, okay so this is a whole new level of insanity, maybe I'm dreaming.
