It was a week since Andie last saw Michael and she was still smiling every morning at the thought of him. Lately she hadn't been ordering pizza because three years of ordering it kind of didn't seem like a good habit and Andie was at the point where she felt like she could better herself. She walked to the grocery store since it recently occurred to her that not her or her parents ever buy groceries. Before she left she changed into jeans, something she hasn't worn since her birthday, and a tank top.

She was reaching for the apple sauce on the top shelf when someone's hand had already gotten it for her. "Thanks, but I already had it." Andie began before she turned around. She paused almost in shock.

"Andie!" Calum exclaimed. She remembered Calum from school. She smiled awkwardly. "It's been so long!"

"Yeah, it has." Was all she could really say.

"Everyone is still doing the same stuff. Me, Meg, Ash, Sky, John. We miss you!"

"Yeah, I miss you guys too." There was a reason she dropped all her friends and never looked back. She just didn't want to think about it right now.

"We all still hang out at the same place, in case you ever want to come by! See you later. You look good Andie." Calum nodded and walked off.

"You too." She said quietly to herself. Those were the people she spent every moment with. But that was the past.

She soon finished shopping and was home. She thought about calling Michael but she decided she would stall for a little. She unloaded her food, which was a lot. She thought her parents would be proud she was doing grown up things for herself. Then she took a shower, painted her nails, and did her makeup. It felt so different to see herself in makeup. She just put on eyeshadow and mascara but it made her happy.

"Hi Michael," Andie spoke over the phone an hour and a half later.

"Hey Andie."

"What are you doing?" She played with her hair. She always did that when she was nervous.

"Just got off my shift, how are you?"

"I'm good, really good."

"Are you parents home?"

"When are they?"

"Well I've only been over a couple times so I'm not sure."

Andie giggled. "Well come over now." Michael could hear her smiling even through the phone and he smiled too.

"Okay. Bye, Andie." and he hung up. Andie started to make food knowing this would be a good night.
