"Order for you, Michael" the cashier calls to the lavender haired boy. He hands Michael the order and as Michael walks away to get in his car he rolls his eyes thinking of how shitty his job is.
He has multiple orders tonight first one is his regular, an old widowed man. That old man is the only thing that makes this job less boring. he's gotten drunk girls hosting parties, old couples, young couples. There was something comforting about the old man who was always sweet to him. He asked about his day, usually commented on his hair, asked him if he wanted to come in after Michael making a creeped out face he just said it was because he had no one to share the pizza with. Michael usually said no since he had a lot of orders. Plus, Michael hated everyone so he knew the old man was a good person. He soon arrived to his regular's house and knocked on the door, a couple minutes later the man answered the door.
"Hey, son." he brought Michael into a half hug.
"How are you, Joe?" he smiled at him.
"Nothing's changed since a few days ago." he took out ten dollars out of his wallet to pay for the pizza. "Do you want to come in? This time I'll explain first, I have no one to share the pizza with." he laughed.
"No, sorry Joe. I have a shit load of orders tonight." Joe looked at him with warning eyes telling him to correct his language. "Sorry," Joe smiled in approval.
"Maybe I can come by one night when I'm not working." he said feeling badly he never has time to see the man who doesn't see anyone. He nodded and they exchanged goodbyes and Michael went to several frat houses and then went home to change his clothes.
It was ten when he started driving. It took twenty minutes to get to where he was going. it was an abandoned water park. He had a spot there ever since sophomore year him and his loser friends, who he now hates, used to go to get drunk at night. they're in the past but this place is his.
Soon after smoking his pack of cigarettes he left. once he was at his apartment he tried to think about the last time he didn't feel like a loser.
