“3… 2… 1…, ring ring.” Terriel had timed it perfectly, catching the phone just as it rang. “Alright Mr.Phone Guy, what do you have for me now?”
''Hello, hello? Hey you're doing great! Most people don’t last this long. I mean, you know, they usually move on to other things by now. I'm not implying that they died. Th-th-that’s not what I meant.”
Terriel laughed nervously. “Yup, totally not stuffed in a suit.”
“Uh, anyway I better not take up too much of your time. Things start getting real tonight.
“Uh... Hey, listen, I had an idea: if you happen to get caught and want to avoid getting stuffed into a Freddy suit, uhh, try playing dead! You know, go limp. Then there's a chance that, uh, maybe they’ll think that you're an empty costume instead. Then again if they think you're an empty costume, they might try to... stuff a metal skeleton into you. I wonder how that would work. Yeah, never mind, scratch that. It's best just not to get caught.”
Terriel face-desked, as much as he like the phone guy, that was a terrible idea.
“Um... Ok, I'll leave you to it. See you on the flip side.”
“These phone calls keep getting shorter and shorter.” Terriel muttered. Leaning back, he glanced at the cameras. Bonnie was gone. Checking the lights, he found nobody in sight. Sighing, he flipped through the cameras, stopping at Pirate’s Cove. Foxy was already poking his head out. “A bit soon, don’t ya think Foxy?!” Leaning back in his chair, he listened to the fan. “This game isn’t hard-“ He muttered as he checked the right door.
And, almost as planned, Chica was there. Closing the door, he checked the Show Stage to see Bonnie still sitting there as well as Freddy. “Do you ever move?” Terriel asked Freddy, sighing. Checking the light, he opened the door, as Chica had left- but was standing in the corner as expected. Checking the other corner, he didn’t see anything out of the ordinary…
And then he made the mistake of lowering the tablet.
In front of him sat an animatronic, and his first reaction was to throw himself out of his seat and hide behind the chair. The noises from the night before were back, but this time it seemed like it was coming from the animatronic- at least, that’s what it looked like. Peeking over the chair, Terriel looked at the figure on the floor. It was slumped over, as if it were an empty costume, and it had hollowed out eyes with only pinpricks of light serving as pupils. Its coloring was… strange to say the least. It was a worn out yellow- almost gold- color, but looked exactly like Freddy, only missing the hat and significantly smaller. It didn’t move when Terriel went to grab the tablet, nor did it respond when he sat back in his chair and checked Pirate’s Cove. But when he reached over to check Bonnie’s door, he made the mistake of letting it leave his field of vision, because the minute he pressed the door light, he heard it. Fabric twisting and shuffling against tile.
It was looking right at him.
Turning around, he was afraid to look at this golden “Freddy”, but when he did, he found himself unable to look away from its glare. “W- What do you want?” Terriel managed to stammer, but got no response. It shuffled once again, this time getting into what looked like a more comfortable sitting position, never taking its eyes off the player.
And then it spoke.
“He’s coming… get out… while you can…”
It had a distorted voice, which seemed to fit its creepiness. Terriel just stepped back, terrified. “Wh- what do you mean? Who’s ‘he’?” He managed to stutter, and, of course, didn’t get an answer. After a minute of uncomfortable silence, Terriel checked Pirate’s Cove, Foxy was already ready for the sprint once again. “Hey, do you think you coul-“ Terriel lowered the tablet only to find that the golden animatronic had disappeared, fantastic.
At this point it was 2 am and for the next hour and a half and in that span of time Bonnie had hogged up the door and Chica had not stopped making a mess of the kitchen. Checking the door lights, Terriel sighed in relief as Bonnie had finally left, allowing him to open the door. “How much power have you eaten- 43 PERCENT!? WAT!? NO! ITS ONLY 3AM!” Now it was time to panic.
“CrapWhatIfIRunOutOfPowerWillIBeInsta-DeadOrWillIHaveToSurviveWithNoPowerOrFOXY WHY ARE YOU GONE?!” Foxy was no longer at Pirate’s Cove, leaving the curtains wide open and the sign reading ITS ME.
Show stage? Nope
Supply closet? No
Bathrooms?! Still no!
West hall? “HOLY CRAP!”
Terriel slammed his hand onto the door button as Foxy sprinted down the hall, and flinched when the animatronic continued to bang on the door, trying to get though. Soon enough, the banging stopped, and when he checked the cove, Foxy was back, peeking his head out. Checking the light to make sure Bonnie hadn’t taken Foxy’s place, he opened the door, still panicking a bit.
And so it continued to 5 am, Chica actually showing her face at one point and Bonnie hogging all the power as usual, and Foxy stayed in his cove, though Terriel did catch Freddy looking at the cameras at one point.
“Come ooooooon. It’s been 5 am for days.” The player whined, checking the time. “You better change to 6 am soon, or something bad might happen.” And that’s when he noticed was at 4%. He gulped, at that moment in time, Chica and Bonnie were at both doors, and Foxy was ready for the sprint. “Perfect, just what I need, to be screwed over THIS BADLY AT THIS POINT IN THE GAME!” The doors were eating all the power, it was already down to 3%... 2%... 1%...
0%
The doors lifted up as Terriel was drenched in darkness, the sound of everything turning off making everything more ominous. He couldn’t see a thing, that is, until a light showed up at Bonnie’s door. Two glowing eyes were staring at Terriel, and a semi-cheerful tune began to play. It was at that moment that he remembered what the phone guy said on night 2.
“Uh... Interestingly enough, Freddy himself doesn't come off stage very often. I heard he becomes a lot more active in the dark though, so, hey, I guess that's one more reason not to run out of power, right?”
“Oooooh I’m so dead.” Terriel muttered to himself, as the song continued to play. Suddenly, the song cut itself short and the lights went out, everything now pitch black. The only noise now was his panicked breathing and heavy footsteps- Freddy was walking into the room. The footsteps stopped right in front of the player, and Terriel felt the oncoming death-
And then bells.
It was 6am.
“I- I made it?...” Terriel asked nervously, looking around. “I… I MADE IT!” He yelled, jumping up from his chair. “AHAHAHA! I ACTUALLY DID IT! That night sucked!” Making a mental note to be more conservative, he felt around for the desk, laughing to himself. “Just you wait, Freddy!” He called, “I’ll beat night 5! I’ll beat… your… freaking… game………” And then he collapsed from exhaustion.
