“Uhh, Hello? Hello? Uh, well, if you're hearing this and you made it to day two, uh, congrats!”

Terriel woke with a start, realizing that he was still on the floor after collapsing from the first night. So this was how the game switched nights, well played.

“ I-I won't talk quite as long this time since Freddy and his friends tend to become more active as the week progresses. Uhh, it might be a good idea to peek at those cameras while I talk just to make sure everyone's in their proper place. You know...”

“Right, uh… where is it?” He scrambled around the room, trying to find the tablet. Eventually, he found it under the stack of newspapers and switched to the show stage. “Nope, Bonnie’s gone.”

“Uh... Interestingly enough, Freddy himself doesn't come off stage very often.”

Terriel sighed, at least he had 2 animatronics to worry about.

“I heard he becomes a lot more active in the dark though, so, hey, I guess that's one more reason not to run out of power, right?”

He gulped, he had thought running out of power was bad enough in a place with two animatronics, but having the main one come after him in pitch blackness? That was insta-kill.

“I-I also want to emphasize the importance of using your door lights. There are blind spots in your camera views, and those blind spots happen to be right outside of your doors. So if-if you can’t find something, or someone, on your cameras, be sure to check the door lights. Uh, you might only have a few seconds to react... Uh, not that you would be in any danger, of course. I'm not implying that.”

“PHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHT.” Terriel hated how this guy kept saying that everything will be fine, at least after night 1 the player should know that everything’s going terribly.

“Also, check on the curtain in Pirate Cove from time to time. The character in there seems unique in that he becomes more active if the cameras remain off for long periods of time. I guess he doesn't like being watched. I don't know.”

Terriel flinched, there was another animatronic? Flipping through the cameras, he eventually found Pirate’s Cove, which was just star-coated purple curtains and a sign that read “Sorry! Out of order.” Sighing, he switched cameras and began to look for Bonnie, who was in the supply closet at the moment.

“Anyway, I'm sure you have everything under control! Uh, talk to you soon.”

“Go awaaaaaay Bonnieeeee.” Terriel sang loudly, looking at the animatronic through the camera. It was 2 am, and nothing was really happening, so he checked the show stage, nearly dropping the tablet in the process. Chica was gone, and Freddy was staring straight into the camera. At that moment, he heard a loud, distant crash, and began to spaz through the video feed. He eventually stopped at the Kitchen’s audio feed, realizing that one of the animatronics was fooling around in there. After checking and seeing that Bonnie was still somewhat in his place, now standing in the east hall, and Freddy still onstage, he figured it was just Chica. He checked Pirate’s Cove again, still nothing. “You had a name, didn’t you?” He asked, for some reason directing the question to the animatronic inside. He tried to think of where its name could’ve been mentioned, when his memory suddenly picked up a few sentences from the article he read the previous night.

“-the infamous ‘Bite of ‘87’, where an old favorite of the children, Foxy the Pirate-“

“-had deemed the animatronic ‘out of order’-“

“Out of order, eh?” Terriel said, now flipping around to watch for Bonnie and Chica. “You better stay away from my head, or else you’ll be worse than out of order… where’s the duck? Chicken? I don’t know.” He rambled, now just talking to himself. Sliding over to the right door, he pressed the light button, only to see Chica standing in the window, its mouth handing wide open. Terriel closed the door, but instead of going back to the cams, he stood up from his chair, leaving the light on, and walked over to the window.

“AY.” He yelled, looking at Chica. “I HAVE A QUESTION.” The animatronic’s beak closed a bit, as if it were listening. “WHAT ARE YOU!? I MEAN SERIOUSLY.” Chica closed its beak completely, as if it were peeved about that question. “I have an idea, you do something if you’re a chicken, and if you’re a duck, stay still.”

        “SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!”

Terriel covered his ears as the animatronic screeched, backing away from the window. “Alright, you’re a chicken… ok…” Returning to his chair, he checked for Bonnie, who, thankfully, wasn’t there. Rolling over to the desk, he picked up the tablet and checked the cameras, then immediately face-desked. It was only 3 am. Bored, he checked Pirate’s Cove, only to see Foxy poking his head out of the curtains. “Well look who finally decided to come to the party.” Terriel commented, placing his feet atop the desk. “You even look the part, being a pirate. You have an eyepatch and everything!” Suddenly, a laugh broke out, and Terriel dropped the tablet. It clattered to the floor as Terriel slowly turned around, then scrambled to shut both doors.

“WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!?!” He yelled as the last door was shut, looking around to make sure nobody was there. Checking both door lights and all the cameras, he was only mildly reassured by the fact that mostly everybody was far away, as Foxy was now outside the cove, looking like he was going to run for it. “N-NO! YOU STAY THERE!” He yelled, almost as if he believed they could hear him through the cameras. He tried to relax, but this whole place was making on edge. Standing up, he began to pace around the room, occasionally checking the door lights and Pirate’s Cove.

Terriel sighed as he checked Pirate’s Cove once again, making sure that Foxy stayed in his place. Putting down the tablet, he checked the doors. Bonnie, nope. Chica, nope. It was 5 am and absolutely nothing was happening. Resting his head on the desk, he let his mind wander off into the far reaches of space, and for some reason it kept gravitating towards ‘why the heck does Chica look like a duck.’ He was too lost in thought, in fact, to notice the tidal wave of a strange amalgamation of noises that was slowly getting louder.  He only noticed it when it had consumed his thoughts, becoming nearly deafening.

And the worst part was, it was all in his head.

Terriel shakily stood up, trying to think through the noise. Checking the door light, it barely registered that Bonnie was there until the light began to flicker, catching his attention. Closing the door, he didn’t even bother checking the light, he just closed Chica’s as well. Sitting back down, he rolled over to the desk and slammed his head down against it. ‘I’m going insane…’ He thought to himself. ‘I’m going insane in here and the power’s gonna fail and I’m gonna die.’

At that moment, the noises dissipated, being replaced with the needed sound of bells, the night… it was over. Terriel began to laugh nervously, but it was quickly replaced by a yawn as drowsiness flooded his system. Surrendering to sleep, he wondered what was going to happen on night 3.

Only one way to find out.
