The spot

Last night was one of my best nights of sleep that I had gotten in a while, my dreams were filled with small scenarios where Felix was comforting me or showing affection towards me and after I woke up I immediately wanted to go back to sleep just so I could pretend that those dreams were a reality. I checked the time to see if I could sleep for a few more minutes but I realised that it was probably best for me to get up if I didn't want to be late for the 20th time this month so I quickly got ready and went to school.

When I got to my locker I was greeted by Calvin and Aubrey who were both smiling a lot more than usual which was a little weird so I asked "why are you two both smiling so big? Y'all look like those carnival clowns or something". They both laughed at my remark and Aubrey said "you look the most well rested you have in a while, I can finally see a little bit of a sparkle in your eyes again". I smiled, trying not to cry at Aubreys sweet remark but before I could reply Calvin cut me off  "seriously y/n/n I was considering forcing you to come to our spot and let it out with me" he laughed.

Our spot is a place that Calvin Aubrey and I had found about a year ago while we were looking for a place to watch the sunset, it's a small clearing on the top of a little hill that overlooks a secluded area of  our local beach. The spot almost looks like something out of a fairytale, with lush plants surrounding the clearing, crystal clear water, soft white sand and the sunsets there are the best I've ever seen, we've even seen dolphins splashing in the water a few times. We go to the spot every now and then whenever one of us needs to clear our heads or scream into the water, yes we scream into water it's very therapeutic.

"Y/n you still listening?" Aubrey asked and I nodded in response not wanting to make her worry about me zoning out again since she new that was a sign I wasn't doing too well. Aubrey Calvin and I all waited around our lockers just chatting and laughing until I saw the familiar face of Felix walking towards his locker and I couldn't help but feel a blush rising to my cheeks as I remembered our conversation from last night. "You're blushinggg, why are you always blushing when you see him" Aubrey giggled " no I am not, I never do what do you mean" I laughed while trying to cover the obvious blush that has formed on my face.

"Hey uh I'm gonna head to our first class, I don't wanna be late you know" Calvin said as he quickly walked away. "Shit." "What got into him, he looked like upset or something also why'd you say shit, what's going on?" I questioned "oh um nothing sorry I better go too I don't wanna be late either ah um catch you there" said Aubrey as she jogged after calvin. That was weird. Why are they acting weird? Did I do something? Was Calvin jealous? Do they not like me? What's going on? My mind was racing with questions, I could feel myself go into panic and it was becoming extremely overwhelming to me and that must have shown on my face because I was brought back into reality with a comforting hand being placed on my shoulder and when I looked up I saw Felix with a look of pure concern on his face.

"Y/n are you alright? You look like you're having a panic attack." I weakly smiled and nodded my head knowing that if I spoke I would start to tear up more than I already was "y/n/n it's ok just try to take deep breath's, ok? Do you need anything?". I shook my head yes in response. "Ok, what do you need?" He spoke "c-could you p-possibly walk to class with me?" I stuttered in response. he simply nodded and began to walk with me while he talked about the most random topics with me. It was nice but I still couldn't stop my mind from racing and I felt my hands begin to shake, Felix noticed this and grabbed my hand lacing our fingers together. I looked up at him slightly confused and he gave me a comforting smile in response, I honestly felt my heart skip a beat and my thoughts began to subside but they quickly rose up again as we walked to where our class was lined up. I locked eyes with Calvin and he looked down to where mine and Felix's hands were connected he immediately snapped his head up and looked at me with an almost angry expression plastered on his face. Ok seriously wtf is going on?
