CHAPTER SIXTEEN! ༉‧₊˚✧
━━━━ ⋆𖤐₊˚.༄ ♡ ━━━━

MONDAY, 26 JULY 1976

WITH WALBURGA AND Orion Black away from home for an extended period, Sirius was having the time of his life. He didn't have to jump out of his window to leave the house anymore, and he could easily order Kreacher around to do odd tasks for him.

Evidently, Regulus had the same thought since he and Barty Crouch Jr. would hang out just as often as he and Diya did. This meant that when he wasn't running about London, Sirius had the entirety of his Grimmauld Place residence to himself.

He discovered that he was rather nosy when no one was nearby to boss him around. Sirius spent way too much time perusing through the rooms of the house, looking for anything to occupy him with. That's how he ended up in Regulus's room on Monday morning.

He'd only been looking for the trinket that Remus had given him for Christmas since he had lost it. He knew that Regulus hadn't taken it, but it couldn't hurt to look, right?

He'd forgotten how Slytherin Regulus's room was. The wallpaper was an emerald color, pristinely laid against the wall, with no peeling edges. A Slytherin logo embellished the wall perpendicular to his bed, flawlessly matching the theme of his room. In fact, there was only one part of his room that wasn't the same shade of emerald green. His bedding was a striped boysenberry color, which surprisingly matched the layout of his room beautifully.

Regulus kept all of his things in the elegant dresser against the wall opposite his bed, the first location Sirius thought to check first.

First searching the objects on the surface, Sirius's eyes scanned a brown leather journal tied with a beautiful bow. Rolling his eyes at his brother's neatness, he decided to search inside his drawers again.

Sirius didn't know how long he had been intruding in his brother's room before the journal started glowing, but he was almost positive that he was going insane.

"What the hell?" he muttered, snatching the journal and untying the bind around it.

The pages of the journal gleamed a luminescent gold, nearly blinding him when he opened it.

The words on the page seemed to be scribbling themself as they stared up at him. Looking away for a moment, he searched Regulus's room for a quill and ink to write with.
