Jaehyun POV

Sora's face drains of her normal pinkish colour as I'm left there, shocked at the words that came out of my mouth.

How could I have told her? That was my one job!

"No, he didn't. The police told us that the tire ran over a nail and flew off the cliff." She says, unsure if that was even the truth.

I take the opportunity to quickly snatch the files out of Sora's hand. "These are important files. Don't come in here again." With that, I quickly shooed her out of the office and sat at the desk, head in hands.

Now Taeyong is definitely going to kill me...

Sora POV

Jaehyun leads me out of his office and slams the door right in my face that could've hurt me badly. That doesn't matter, though. I have bigger problems...

What does he mean by this Taehyung-guy killed my mother? That isn't possible, I literally watched her die and I can confirm, nobody killed her. He probably said that just to get the files from me, how cruel.

My phone in my right pocket starts buzzing, indicating that someone had just texted me.

I open the phone and see a text from Taeyong.

TY_TRACK: are you asleep already?

RAINI.RODRIGUEZ: not yet

TY_TRACK: ok good night. make sure to tell me if jaehyun does something to you

RAINI.RODRIGUEZ: WAIT i gotta ask you something

TY_TRACK: it better not be something like where do babies come from

RAINI.RODRIGUEZ: no

RAINI.RODRIGUEZ: how did mom die again???

TY_TRACK: you know the answer to that

RAINI.RODRIGUEZ: just to confirm, she died when the tire ran over a nail and drifted off a cliff??

TY_TRACK: yes

RAINI.RODRIGUEZ: oh ok good because jaehyun was telling me this story about how this taehyung guy killed mom and i wanted to make sure that wasnt true

TY_TRACK: r u serious

TY_TRACK: why did he tell you that

RAINI.RODRIGUEZ: cause i found this folder that said bts on it and he wanted it back. what is bts anyways??? is that a band or smth lol

TY_TRACK: omfg

TY_TRACK: im gonna actually kill him now

TY_TRACK: he wasnt supposed to tell you that

RAINI.RODRIGUEZ: wdym

What the hell is this guy's problem? It's not like this is something unimportant, we're talking about mom here.

I need someone to explain this if he won't...

I arrive at the kitchen and sit on one of the chairs on the counter. I search around the place, desperate to find something - ANYTHING - to distract my mind from this.

I notice a small piece of paper stuck to the fridge wall. I get up to inspect it and see everyone's emergency numbers in Taeyong's handwriting. There were only 10 guys' name;

Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Taeyong, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark, Haechan.

Maybe I can get an answer out of one of them.

I take out my iPhone and scroll through all of their members. Now that I think about it, I really haven't talked to any of these people except for Yuta, Jaehyun, Taeyong and Doyoung.

I remember Doyoung saying he had a date, so he's off the list. Don't want to disturb him. I don't want to talk to Taeyong and I think Jaehyun's angry at me so that leaves... Yuta.

Isn't he the one who cut my skin? I think as I look down at the six stitches on my weak forearm. But I really have no other options. Let's just hope he answers.

I dial in his number and text it.
