[Name]: Hey y'all, I'm here with my best friend. Best friend, show 'em your moves!
Hajime: (undergoes the Kamukura Project)—
Was that a school bell just now?
Your tour around the island available to you had been cut short by a harsh ringing, your head being drawn towards the monitor that was less than a few steps to your right. With nothing more than a surprised sigh, you and Hajime made your way towards it so you could crouch down and peer at the screen, watching it flicker to life to show Usami sitting comfortably on a plush armchair.
"Congratulations! It appears that everyone has finished collecting the Hope Fragments!" Whatever she meant by that, you had no idea. "I'm so proud of you all, and I'm so happy! So, I've prepared a wonderful surprise for you all down at the beach!"
As the rabbit began to blubber on about how impressive it was everyone had already become acquaintances, the monitor flickered once more and the life drained from your face. If there was anything on this island that was considered a surprise, it was definitely going to end up being a monstrous disaster— the fact you were even on this island was a terrifying enough surprise!
"... She said we should meet at the beach." You repeated as you began walking and Hajime had yet to turn around from staring at the monitor.
The boy seemed incredibly put off, glancing off to the side as he let out a sheepish sigh, "I know, but is that really okay...? I have a bad feeling with all these surprises..."
"We're going to look strange if we stand here thinking and miss out on anything!" Your idle curiosity had won over your pessimism and you grabbed Hajime's arm to drag him along (it didn't look like he'd be moving any time soon, after all), hooking your arms together once he'd finally stopped flailing and panicking.

It took barely minutes for you to arrive at the beach, yet you were both the last to show your faces. As you stepped foot onto the ochre folds of sand, you quickly apologised on yours and Hajime's behalf before anyone could chastise you for being late, even if there wasn't a time limit...
Though, the air soon fell sinister, and far from the initial peppy environment you were expecting. When you were promised a beach surprise, your mind fell onto pool games and a nice lunch, not the terrifying comment from Togami that the island everyone was currently occupying was Jabberwock Island. To be frank, you weren't particularly sure what that even meant, but Nagito's frightened gasp drew you to the conclusion that you were going to get eaten alive.
The knowledge of no communication with the outside world didn't calm your fears either, but many of the girls began to let out quiet murmurs that it didn't change anything, and you had to agree with them. It didn't change that you had to live there, it didn't change anything at all since Togami had refused to delve into further details, but it appeared everyone had jumped back into the full swing of happiness that came with a free resort trip on a tropical island without further question.
Well, it's better to face everything with a smile rather than curl up and whine, right?
With a fake laugh that soon melted into genuine laughter with the bubbling excitement of everyone, you let the anxiety from before wash away. No matter what the island held, everybody was on it together! If you got bitten by a few snakes, or had a spider make its home in your cabin, you could die instantly on the spot in a comforting friendship circle!
... That absolutely wasn't the epitome of happiness. Maybe you could force Hajime to smack the spiders through the window? Not likely, he was just as much of a wuss as you were—
