The tables had turned, quite frankly, and now it was Hajime's turn to wake you up in the morning. The first few weeks in Hope's peak were killing you off, very slowly, and you could barely find the motivation to get out of bed.

You had always been 'selective' in the activities you did, or just lazy, and Chisa always made you join in the ones you didn't want to do.

"Hurry up, [Last name], we're going to be late." He whined as you exited your room, hitching your skirt up.

"Unfortunately, we are going to be late!" You groaned, taking his school tie out of his fingers. You still tied it for him every day, for whatever reason.

Truth be told, Hajime did know how to tie a tie after you had taught him, but he pleaded ignorance and still made you do it for him. You elbowed him as you both left the apartment, and yet again, another mad dash to your school started.

That was until you both tripped trying to run past each other down the stairs, and you went flying to the Antarctic.

When you finally hit the bottom, you both let out loud yells of pain, mostly from you, since you had cushioned his fall.

"I-I'm sorry, [Last name]!" He scrambled off you and picking you up by your waist, "Are you okay?"

"F-Fine." You mumbled, but you could barely feel any bone in your body, the male had also seemingly crushed your will to live.

He dragged you along still, and you managed to get past the usual traffic jam and crowded streets with much more time to spare than you both anticipated.

"You're limping." He blankly pointed out, flicking a stray blossom from your shirt.

"Because you landed on me! I can't walk!" You wailed, and he rolled his eyes at you. He mumbled another short apology, before crouching down in front of you.

"What are you doing-?"

"Look, I'll give you a piggyback ride for the rest of the way." He muttered, "M-Make a decision!"

After a while of arguing, which cut your spare time down by miles, you (rather reluctantly) climbed on his back. You didn't feel safe at all, you knew he would drop you the second you said anything against him.

Instead, you stayed quiet, leaving your arms loose around his neck. It seemed like time passed quickly, because he managed to carry you to the entrance of Hope's Peak with minutes to spare.

"I'll see you then, [Last name]." He gave you a small wave, turning towards the Reserve Course.

"Wait, Hinata!" He cocked his head back at you, an eyebrow raised in curiosity, "Thank you for carrying me!"

A small blush crept onto the boys cheeks and he quickly turned back around.

"I'll be there whenever you need me, [Last name]."

You walked through your deserted corridors by yourself, before bumping into someone. You felt an irk mark instantly pop on your temple as you saw the culprit.

"How're you doing, [Name]?" [Brother's name] chimed, a sly look on his face, "Is that the guy you live with?"

"What's it to you?" You snapped back, reaching for your classroom door, but he stopped you.

"Nothing." He sang, sending you a mock-glare, "I'd just love to hear about him, you both seem awfully close."

You ignored him, shoving him out of the way and storming into your class. Everyone queried about your wellbeing, never seeing you look so annoyed before.

(Gundam asked if the 'Dark Empress' of the classroom was feeling herself, and you started spluttering).

"It's pointless, don't worry!"

Hajime awkwardly fiddled with his fingers as he sat on the edge of the schools fountain, waiting for you to arrive. He hadn't made any friends in the Reserve Course, unless you counted Natsumi, and he still hated her.

You were never this late, usually by a few minutes if you had gone to buy food for the two of you, but it had been too long. He stood up, feeling embarrassed, but he was soon knocked back down when a girl with pale-pink hair walked into him.

She glanced up from her console to look at him, and her eyes brightened in recognition.

"Are you Hinata? Hinata Hajime?" She asked, a light smile gracing her lips. How this girl knew his name, he had no idea, and he didn't want to know either.

He gave a short nod, and she actually put her console down.

"[Name] told me about you!" Her eyes dulled as she looked down in confusion, mumbling to herself, "What did she ask me to say again..?"

"Uh, what-?"

"That's it!" She cut him off, "She can't make it today because she was going to fight another classmate of ours."

"F-Fight?!" He choked at how she managed to say it with a straight face.

"It's a usual thing that happens, don't worry." She shrugged, before a cheeky grin made its way onto her face, "Kuzuryuu is going to get his ass kicked."

Hajime barely made out the last part of the girls sentence, and he soon felt the confusion closing in on him. Why this girl? Why was she in a fight? Why was fighting normal? Why-?

"You don't have to look so panicked, our homeroom teacher will probably intervene." She lost interest again, and her fingers began quickly pressing back at the keys of her game.

He let out a relieved sigh as the girl walked off, before he called back out to her, "What's your name?"

"Nanami." He heard her mumble, but it wasn't long before he heard an ear-splitting shriek from behind him. He turned to see you sprinting towards him, and a rather short blond chasing after you.

"F-Fuy-Fuyuhiko!" He heard you yell, out of breath, "I'm s-sorry!"

"Sorry doesn't cut it, you asshole!"

He didn't want to know the details to that either.

"Did you see Chiaki?" You asked later that night, sporting a black eye which you covered with an eyepatch. He looked up at you in confusion, before the realisation hit him.

"Nanami?"

"Yeah! My friend." You shyly said, feeling privileged to say the word 'friend' so easily, "I thought you would worry if I didn't show, and she always walks around the entire school anyway."

"While you were fistfighting...Kuzuryuu?" He sighed as you stood proudly with your hands on your hips.

"In which I won."

"You're the one with a black eye..."

"Shut up!"
