I awoke the next morning with shivers down my spine. The morning suns rays were streaming through the gaps in the blinds.
"Mornin sunshine."
"AHH! God dammit. Steve what the fuck!?"
"Whoa whoa! Languageeeee."
The biggest smile stretched across Steves face as i climbed out of bed and ran to embrace the ice monster.
It wasn't until i looked up at his face closely and saw the worry plastered there.
"Hela are-" He started but i cut him off.
"I'm fine Steve, i promise, i'm okay."
"No Hela, your not. What the hell were you even thinking?! This is why you should never be exercising near open windows, bad things can lead-"
Hold up. What the hell did he just say? Exercising? Near a freaking open window? Right.
How does he not know? Why didn't Tony- Oh. Tony didn't tell anyone. He didn't tell anyone about what happened.
Auntie Tasha already knew because she saw me fall... but. No, Tony really hasn't told anyone.
"Hela."
"Hmm? What?"
"I was talking to you- are you even listening to anything i'm saying?" He looked at me with this funny look.
"Oh uhm, yes?" I said trying to look as believe as possible... It didn't work.
"Tony said you can come out today, from, whatever you're doing in here in the first place."
"Really!?" I exclaim, the pancakes Steve brought down shoved halfway down my throat.
"Yes really, so hurry up and get changed, meet me downstairs in 10 minutes." As he turned and walked away i yelled after him. "Ill be there in 5!"
"Im sure you will!" He hollers back and closes the door.
As soon as the door slams shut, i race to the chest of drawers and yank out a pair of jeans and a striped sweater.

Twenty minutes later me and Steve were seated at an old cafe with muffins and iced coffee.
"So what were you doing in there anyways?" Steve broke the silence.
"Oh, uhm. I just, burnt a level in the tower and Tony thought it'd be best if i was somewhere where i couldn't hurt myself  or anyone else for a little while" i lied.
"Huh, okay."
A few minutes past with small talk and laughter, Steve catching me up on how his mission in Scandinavia went. I wasn't really paying attention.
I felt the vibration of my phone buzz in my pocket and saw Peters name on my phone.
"Who's that?" Steve looked at me, an eyebrow raised.
"Oh no one, just a friend. We were supposed to meet today but i forgot.." i replied. Awkwardness setting in.
I guess no one told Peter i had gotten out today and he showed up at my room only to be turned away by Jarvis saying i wasn't here.
Steve looked at me with that same odd look before speaking.
"You know Hela, i actually have some work i have to do before i head off again tomorrow morning. Go, meet up with your friend. I'll see you later, and don't worry, Tony doesn't have to know where you are." He smiled.
"Really? Is that okay?" I gasp.
"Of course, Tony won't know. Just be home before 10 please. Otherwise i will have no choice but to tell Tony and then thats shit you got to deal with." He clamped his hand over his mouth.
"Uh! LANGUAGE!" I yell in his face laughing.
Usually it's Steve who catches me swearing.
Steve gets up to leave and i call Peter while pouring my coffee in a take away cup.

"Hela hey! I came over an hour ago but you weren't there. I didn't know you were let out."
Yeah hi, sorry i thought i wasn't getting out for a few more days."
"Oh"
"Uhm, hey listen so i'm in town and i was wondering if maybe you wanted to meet me somewhere?"
"Anywhere?"
"Uh, yeah i guess. Just say the place and ill meet you there."
"Ill send you the address. Cya soon Ella."
"Bye Pete."

"Ella!" He jogged towards me and wrapped his arms tightly around waist, gently lifting me off the ground.
I swung around in his arms for a bit, waiting for him to drop me.
"Pete.. Can you, uhm, put me down now please?"
"What?"
"Can you please put me down now" i laughed nervously.
"Oh my gosh, yeah i'm so sorry Ella." His whole face went a deep crimson colour as he loosend his grip around me waist and let me slip gently out of his arms and back onto the sidewalk.
I laughed, my face deepening to the colour of a tomato. "It's okay dumb nut. So uhm.. Why did you ask me to meet you here? At a theme park?"
"Oh right, I don't really know. You just seem like you need some happiness in your life. Theme parks used to always make me happier, and i haven't been to one in a really long time." Peter looked at me with his big beautiful eyes growing wider in anticipation to see what i would say.
"Oh so you think im sad and depressed then do you, and that i suddenly need cheering up?" I exclaimed.
"What? Oh uhh, no i just- i uh-" Peter stammered over his words.
"GOTCHA! I'm just messing with you. Thank you Peter. It really means a lot. It's been a while since i've been to a theme park too." I laugh.
I felt my cheeks go warm and a fuzzy feeling occured in my stomach. Like hundreds of butterflies dancing along to a beautiful song.
He looked down at my hand and took it in his own without hesitation.
Then pulled me along side next to him as he quickly headed down to the food carts.

The rest of the evening was magical. Peter took me around and around the merry go round at least a thousand times.
We got lost in the maze of mirrors and he eventually found me sitting on my butt in the middle of the maze using Find My iPhone so i could find him.
We even went on one of the big roller coasters which we both agreed afterwards we were way too old for.
By 9.30 i knew i was going to have to get going otherwise i'd be in some deep shit with Tony and i really didn't feel like having another huge fight with him.
"Pete, i really have to go now." I smiled up at him.
"You said that fifteen minutes ago and your still here aren't you darling." He smirked finishing his bagel.
"You know Tony won't let me see you again if i'm late home." I say, my small softening a little.
"Alright alright, i'll walk you to the bus stop then." He said as he took my hand gently and started walking.
The walk was silent until we got to the bus stop.
He spun me around so i faced him and put his arms around my waist as he brought me closer for a hug.
"Thanks for keeping me company" he whispered into my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
"Anytime" i whispered back.
He moved away from me only slightly and moved one of his hands from my waist and onto my cheek.
I could hear my bus pulling up to it's stop.
He glanced at the bus and then back into my eyes.
I turned around to grab my bag but he pulled me back and pressed his lips gently against mine.
My mind was spinning. The butterflies in my stomach were screaming.
His other hand found it's way up to cup my face and he gently brushed my cheek with his thumb.
He broke away after a moment and smiled that sheepish grin.
"Goodnight Hela." He whispered
And then he walked away in the city, his dark brunette curls blowing lightly with the breeze.
