A month later , Erwin informed a new plan, through deduction, we're suspecting Annie to be the female titan, Eren, Armin and Mikasa would lead her into an underground passage, that way if she does transform she'll be stuck in the tunnels and we can take her out easily, the rest of the scouts and civilians in the area were behind crates, buildings or roofs, "They're here." Levi whispers, we all watched as the four of them got to the entrance of the underground pass, "Shit." I saw Annie not go in, the three of them were already walking in, "She's smart." I grip my blades, we heard Eren's smoke signal and everyone moved in, the civilians ran out of their hiding places and restrained her, they tied a rag around her mouth so she wouldn't transform, there was a strike of lightning, "AHHH!" I screamed, the wind blew me away, "SHOOT YOUR ANCHORS!" Levi shouts, I squinted my eyes open and fired it into the roof, he grunted and pulled the wire till I was back on the roof and he held me tight, blood splattered everywhere, she tried to reach into the tunnel to grab Eren, the three of them made a break for it and ran in.
Several Days Earlier
Levi and I were at the dining hall at our headquarters, I rest my head on his shoulder and he put his head on top of mine stroking my arm while sipping his tea, "What's this? Erwin's never late." He looks up at the clock, "Mm," I hum and close my eyes, "Sorry to keep you waiting," I heard Erwin's voice and the door closing, "Eren, come down!" I shouted with my eyes still closed, "Get up." Levi taps my leg, I gently opened my eyes and I saw Jean, Mikasa, Armin, Krista and Sasha, "Guys." I stood up. "The day after tomorrow we'll pass through Stohass district to the capital. That's when we'll strike, our first and only chance to do so, once we've set foot in the interior, the government will assume custody of Eren and the scouts authority to continue with the operation will be limited. Thus, unless we conceit to defeat, we must flush out the enemy now. So here's what we do. While in Stohass we'll use Eren as bait luring the enemy into this underground passage, the deeper the better get her well beneath street level. That done she should be easily immobilised even in titan form. If she transforms before reaching the tunnel at that point she will be your responsibility Eren." Erwin explains.
Present time
We watched as she stomped her foot into the ground, "Is she crazy! Did she really just risk killing Eren?!" I clutch my ponytail, Levi and I weren't positioned yet, Erwin, Levi and I were by the cart, focusing out attention to 'Eren', "Cute mop." I grab a handful of Eren's hair and rip it off throwing the wig into Jean's face, "Shut up." He averts his eyes, "Commander!" He salutes to Erwin and throws on his cloak, "Ask for equipment at squad four." He says, "Sir." Jean nods, "Like the grass balls but try not to wing 'em so hard you get killed." Levi was in his black suit, "Sir." Jean runs off. "Commander! Here!" A squad leader zips down and passes him a briefcase with new ODM gear and fresh blades, "Well done." Erwin suits up, "Alright, all of you are with me, we're rendezvousing with the capture squad." Erwin swipes his hand, "No! This is outright treason!" MPs come around Erwin and point their guns at him, "Think Nile, find it hard to believe you're as thick headed as you look, you're a hair trigger away from making the biggest mistake of your life." Levi says, "Take off the gear before I shoot you!" Nile shouts, we saw another bolt of lightning, "Eren's transformed sir!" I shout, Erwin nods, "We've got two of them hashing it out on the streets?!" Nile turns around, "Yes sir, the city's collapsing down like a house of cards. It's just... it's horrifying we can only guess how many casualties." A subordinate runs over to inform him, "Erwin! Your arrogance has brought this right to our doorstep!" Nile points the gun at him again, "I know, I acted entirely on my own authority, and I offer no excuses," He nods, Nile drops his gun and grabs Erwin's collar, Levi subtly pushed me behind him, "You knew this would happen you son of a bitch, you knew our lives would be damned! Why! Damn you why!" He shouts, "For victory." Erwin says, "Don't give me that! You're nothing but a traitor, I ought to kill you right here and now, none of the higher ups would fault me," He points his gun back at Erwin, "Do as your conscience tells you, my post if yours. The female titan must not escape, deployment is through fear, work with them closely no whatever it takes-" Erwin was interrupted by Nile, "Shut up, stop. Do you really think this is for the good of us all?" He looks at the burning houses, "I believe it's a step forward." He nods, Nile grits his teeth, "Lower your weapons, arrest this man, deploy all troops immediately as of now, focus on evacuation." Nile says, "Yes sir!" They all run out, "Erwin, I will now wash my hands and bring you to the high court," He says, "I will accept their judgement, thank you Nile." Erwin nods, Levi takes a step forward, "Levi, you will stay here, pointless death wouldn't suit you." Erwin turns to him, "No it wouldn't. Didn't plan on it either," He takes off his blazer and suits up in a new set of gear, the two of us use our ODM to get to the city, we saw Eren on top of Annie, beating her to a pulp, he ripped her nape off and was about to eat her, Levi powered down, "Not the greatest idea to eat our evidence." He says, Mikasa runs over and pulls Eren out, I flip down, "What the hell," I knock a crystallised shell that was around Annie, I used one of my blades and lightly tapped it, Jean tried to hack at it relentlessly, "Damn it, all the shit we've been through and this is what we get! ANNIE! Wake up! Come on! Face the music! You owe us! Don't be a coward! I know you can hear me!" Jean yells, he was about ti stab at it again, "That's enough." Levi grabs his shoulder, "It's over." He says, "Someone get me a wire net, this thing belongs deep underground." Hanji runs over.
We posted Annie deep underground with constant surveillance, Eren was slowly recovering from his fight, he'd been knocked out unconscious for an entire week, "Knock knock." I open the door to Eren's recovery room, Jean, Armin, Mikasa all stayed by him, I peeked my head in and Levi was behind me, "Debriefing, let's go, Mikasa, you can stay with Eren, I don't think he should get out of bed just yet." I looked at her, she nods and the two follow us out, "So~ How was that, wasn't it fun." I grinned and jumped up hooking my arms around Jean and Armin's necks, my legs didn't touch the ground so they swayed as they walked, "Tch, get off them, you're just going to annoy them." Levi says, "I-It's fine sir." Armin says, he faces the front again and keeps walking, "I mean I guess it's in some way humbling to see that Annie was going to keep her secret right up to the end." Armin looks up at the sky, "Why do you have to be so poetic, just say if it was fun or not silly." I jump off and kick his stomach, he heaves, "Yeah... I guess it was fun." He holds his stomach and wheezes, "Jean?" I look at him, he shrugs, "Sure." He says, "I think we'll have a great new Special Ops Squad, don't you think?" I look at Levi, he looked down at me with loving eyes, "I think so." He kisses my head.
