"There's a tower nearby that'll give us access to the wall part of an abandoned fortification to the south west." I held my torch high up, Levi's squad following me, "We're heading to Utgard Castle," I turn my head around, "Ma'am." They all nod.
We got up the mountain but were swept by a heavy snowstorm, the squads bunked out in a cabin, "Everyone warm up," I draped a blanket over Mikasa, she wraps it around her tightly, "We need to head out, we can't have more people dying out there than there already has." Eren stands up, "Eren." I say sternly, "I'm sorry, as much as we all want to save as many people as we can, just look outside, you'd get swept away in that snowstorm before you set one foot out," I grab his shoulder, "We set out at first light, that's a promise." I nod my head, he bunches up his fist, "First light, I'm leaving with or without you." He grabs a blanket and sits by the wall, I smile and nod, "Promise." I wrap a blanket around me, I twist my ring around my finger, "Don't worry yourself, I'll be back home before you know it." I kiss it and closed my eyes.
I woke up first, "Rise and shine." I slap Eren's head, he groans, I tap Mikasa and Armin's head and the rest of the squads get up, the snow was still thick but at least it wasn't making it impossible to see, the trees and plants glistened in the morning sun, "Alright, all squads! Forward Towards Utgard Castle!" I raised my arm up and my horse started ploughing through the snow creating a paths for the rest.
We finally reached a once stranding Utgard Castle, "Squads! Disperse and canvas the area!" I draw my blade and stand on my horse, "Squads two, eight, five and Eren from the special ops, retrieve the cadets on the north west side. Squad nine, six, one, four and Mikasa of the special ops squad are on the offensive. Cut the titans down! Hanji and Armin, work on discovering who that female titan is now!" I shout, "Ma'am!" Everyone zipped off, I was killing a titan when I heard, "Yes! My first ODM kill!" I whipped around and saw Eren, "You're not on the offensive!" I yell over the wind, his wires got tangled up with each other and he fell to the ground, "Idiot! I told you to fall back!" I had to leave the titans and fly down and grab him,"Eren! Nat!" We turn around and saw Reiner, Connie and Bertholdt, I zipped down to them, "Hold this idiot." I shove Eren into them and fire my anchors again killing the last of the titans, "I guess like husband, like wife." I look at my bloodied hands and cringed at the evaporating blood, I flicked my hands to get as much of the blood as possible. We finally regrouped and I saw Armin, Hanji and Krista crowded around, my eyes widened, "Ymir." I walked over, she had her arm and leg bitten off, she briefly opened her eyes and smiled at Krista who was holding a cloth at her abdomen to stop the excessive bleeding, "So she's the female titan." I looked down at her, Hanji stood up and nodded, "Ymir, as I promised, my true name. It's Historia." My eyes widened and I crouched down next to her, "Reiss?" I grab her shoulders, she turns to me with wide eyes, "How'd you know?" She looks at me, I took a breath in, "I used to live in Wall Sina too." I stand up, all the cadets look at me, "And Eren, you asked me before. Before I married Levi, what was my surname." I turn to him, he looks at me, "It was Zhang." I say, they all gasped, "You mean the noble family known for their invention of the ODM gear?" Armin gasped, I nodded, "That was my great, great grandfather's invention, I remember playing with one when I was a kid back in the acres of land my family owned back in Wall Maria, guess that answers your question as to why I'm called the Gliding Dragon huh." I grinned, "Wait so how on earth did a noble from Wall Sina meet a boy from the Underground?" Eren asks, "Why are you asking my whole life story now huh, once you're married, then we can share stories." I knocked his head, everyone laughed.
After the mission, we were all heading up the wall to reorganise and bring up mounts and injured soldiers, I was organising supplies when Historia came up to me, "Please you've got to believe me, I'm telling the truth, Ymir could've run away easily anytime she wanted she chose to fight the titans to save out lives, she had nothing to gain putting her life on the line like that doesn't that speak volumes about where her loyalties are?" Historia pleads, "She should've told us before, yes. She had no right to keep her powers secret, it's hard to look at how much human kind might've gained from knowing what she's been keeping to herself, but... I think she was just worried about what people might to do her. Clearly her priorities have changed now, this isn't as difficult as it looks, no one is closer to Ymir than me and there's no question in my mind who's side she's on." She explains, I take a breath in, "Is that so? Well, under the circumstances it certainly shows that she's friendly. Her priorities aside, a wager in which she can teach us about the enemy is beyond measure... probably. Even so..." I walk over to where soldiers were laying her stretcher down, "You say it isn't as complicated as it looks but how I'm looking at it, the world get more and more complicated by the hour," I sigh, "Oh and Historia." I look at her, she snaps out of her trance, "It's nice to meet a fellow noble, I'm sure it's been years since you've last met one since you're outside the walls." I hold my hand out and smile, she lights up and shakes my hand.
"How is she?" I look at Ymir, "Comatose but stable, the bleeding stopped but the steam seems to be coming out of her wounds." Hanji prods at her, "Best option is to take her back to Trost where the poor girl can get proper medical care. She's in your hands. And Hanji, stop that." I slap her hand away, "Consider it done." A soldier that was tending to Ymir nods, "Right then, back to our mission, finding that hole and patching it up." I stand up and start walking off, Hanji hot on my tail. "We all on the same page? We'll figure out what to do with Ymir later, oh and Connie, I'll set up an investigation unit for your village." I hook my arm around his neck, he swallows and nods, previously, he went on a mission back to his home town and he found his village decimated by titans, one crushed through his house. I looked down, "HANNES!" I shout, he looks up and nods, "Have they found the breach?" I mutter, he was crawling up the wall, "Come on old man, you're almost there." I clap slowly as he climbs up, "Shut that hundred and forty five centimetre trap of yours." He grunts as he gets up, "Don't make me kick you back down." I storm over, Hanji pulls me back, "We didn't find a single breach anywhere, wall's perfectly fine, spent all night trying to find out how or where they got in but between Trost and Cover district there's nothing. No hole anywhere," He gets up, "That's impossible!" Hanji was shocked, "Had a search party from Cover we traced out steps not a single titan on the way here either," He shakes his head, "But we know for a fact that there are titans here on this side of Wall Rose!" Armin protests, "Oh come on, how much have you had to drink, seriously?" Eren scoffs, I snickered, "Why you little!" He defends, "Hold on... Wait a sec, what the hell are you kids doing here?" He looks at Mikasa, Armin and Eren, I jump out of Hanji's grip, "Hmm," I sit down cross legged, "If there's no breach we'll need to change tactics." I take a breath in, "We head back to Trost immediately." I jump back up, everyone nods and packs up the equipment, "Oh no, what if there's a species of titan we don't know about that knows how to dig," Hanji taps her chin, "Please don't fill my head up with even more problems." I massage my temples, I saw Eren, Reiner and Bertholdt chat and stay behind, my eyes flashed and I stayed put, "You guys keep moving, I'll kick those kids back into line." I say and the rest of the squads keep moving, I walked over to Mikasa, "I'm the armoured titan and Bertholdt is the colossal." I heard Reiner, my eyes widened and Mikasa and I whipped towards each other, "So~ Mikasa," I leaned on her shoulder, she gasped, "The plan." My stare hardened, she stiffened and nodded subtly, "Come on slowpokes, you're holding us up, chop chop." I grinned and clap my hands, they ignored me and kept talking, "Come on, what's with it and you three, start moving!" I whined and tried to push Reiner but he was still as a rock, "Nice try shorty but you're not moving ninety five kilos of muscle," He grins, "I don't care, just move it already." I jump up and slap his head, "Y-Yeah, Reiner, it's the battle fatigue talking," Bertholdt looked like he saw a ghost, "It's okay, it's okay. If you were the armoured titan what would the end game be anyway? We wouldn't even be having this conversation in the first place. What do you want me to say, yes? And get myself kidnapped voluntarily?" Eren waved his hand, "Armoured titan?" I looked up at the two boys they stiffened, I played along and burst out laughing, "Funny joke Reiner, and I'm the colossal titan. Come on! It's raining and I don't fancy getting my hair soaking wet." I clutched my hood and wrapped it tight around my head and jumped up and down, flapping my cloak on purpose, I put up my middle and pinky finger behind my back, Mikasa and Eren's eyes widened and they got their blades ready behind their backs, they read the command, it was to prepare for possible titan transformation from the two of them, "I've been here too long for my own good." Reiner faced the other direction and clutched his sling, "Three years of this madness, surrounded by idiots we were kids what did we know about anything? Why'd there have to be people like this? Why! Why did I let myself dissolve and become a half-assed shit!" His face darkened, "It's too damn late now, what have I become? Who cares, it is what it is." Reiner takes off his sling, I let out a high pitched whistle and everyone stopped, "Reiner, what are you doing." I tried to calm him down, all the squads subtly peeked behind them, "No choice but to face what I've done, as a warrior! No road left but the one that leads to the end!" He unwraps the sling and his wound steams and evaporates away, my eyes widen, "Reiner! Right now! Here! WE'RE DOING THIS?!" Bertholdt tried to stop him, "Yes! Right here right now! We settle this once and for all!" He takes a step forward, "Reiner stop!" I grabbed his arm, he looked at me with a second of hesitation, I took the opportunity and dashed forward and I saw Mikasa, she went to slash Bertholdt and I went for Reiner, "EREN! GET OUT OF HERE!" Mikasa shouts, I sliced the side of Reiner's throat and cut off his hand, I was about to stab him, Bertholdt rammed into me and I fell off the wall, I used my ODM to secure myself, "REINER!" I screamed.
