I groaned and I opened my eyes, I saw Levi on top of me, he was shielding me from the blast, "Honey?" I roll him off me and he lay down with my thump, my heart stopped, "Honey?! Come on love! Levi!" I shake his chest, the side of his face was completely covered and dripping in blood, "No, no, no, no, no." Tears fell down, I drop down and put my head on his chest, I heard a faint beating, "Honey?" His lips barely moved and it was fainter than a whisper, "Where's... the monkey?" His eyes were still closed, "I-I dunno, he's gone. Levi, just calm down, please!" Tears fell onto his face, "Nat." His finger loosely touched mine, "I'm fin...e." He breathes out, "I'm... fine..." His finger loosens with mine, my eyes widen and I drop back down onto his chest, listening to his heart, "Levi. Don't leave me." Tears fell uncontrollably as I grip onto his cloak, suddenly I felt a zap in my heart, I look around me and everyone was next to me, "To all subjects of Ymir." I heard Eren's voice, I look around and I saw Levi, he looked completely fine, I ran to him and he held me tight, "My name is Eren Yeager, I'm using the power of the founding titan to address all subjects of Ymir. The hardening of the walls present of Paradis Island has come undone and all the titans entrapped within them have started marching. My objective is to protect the people of Paradis, the place where I was born and raised. However, the world wishes for the annihilation of the people of Paradis. The hatred that has been swelling up for so long will certainly not end. Until not just the Paradis, but all Ymir's subjects have been eliminated. I reject this wish. The Wall Titans shall trample all Earth outside this island underfoot until all life existing there has been exterminated from his world," Everyone was scared and screaming, Levi grabs my waist, "Listen Honey, I don't know how much longer we're in here since once we go back I can't tell you any of this-" Levi stares at me, "You're not dying on me Levi! I Won't let you!" I cry, "No, no, listen. I'm not going anywhere, just listen." He holds me tight to his chest and my tears soak into his uniform, "I'm pretty sure Hanji has a scouting squad for us, we hadn't returned back to Paradis and after all this shit, Hanji's probably even closer to finding us, I need you to stay with them, I can't protect you in the state I'm in. Hanji will probably patch me up and stitch my face but I need you to have a clear head alright?" He kisses my forehead, I look up at him, "I don't want to see you in that state again." I rest my cheek on his chest, "This is my way of getting you back that time you got shot." He gives a faint smile, "Tell me what's worse? A bullet or a thunderspear. You idiot." I smile and kiss his lips.
There was another zap in my heart and I found myself back in the field, I looked down at Levi and stroke his hair, "Don't worry, I'm right here. Just stay with me, Captain Clean." I smile softly. I stayed with him until after a while I heard a horse's hooves, I shot up and looked around, my eyes lit up, "HANJI!" I screamed, she saw me and galloped faster, "Oh Nat!" She hugs me tight, "My God, is it a relief to see you, I need your help!" I drag her hand after me, "Look!" I couch back down next to Levi, Floch and other of the Yeagerists were with her, "Let's just shoot him dead." Flock unhinges the safety pin, "Our number one threat is here all bloodied up," Floch aims, "NO!" I punch him and kick the gun out of his hands, he stares at me and his eyes were filled with fury, "How dare you!" He was just about to punch me but Hanji stepped in between us, "Now's not the time for this, Levi's dead." She says, I whip around and gasp, she pulled her pointer and middle finger down, my eyes widen and subtly nod, I fall to my knees and weep, "LEVI!" I scream and my entire body shook, they all stared at me and took a step back, "I need to take his pulse." Floch takes a step forward, "No! Stay away from him you monster!" I hold Levi's head close to me, "Let me have a look." He says sternly and marches towards me, "Floch, let the widow mourn for her loss." Hanji steps in front of him, "I don't buy it. Let me take his pulse!" He now was shouting, there was an explosion and I saw titan steam, "Is it disappearing, did it die?" Floch picks up his gun and points it at the titan, all the Yeagerists follow, "No. Normally when steam gets absorbed like that, it won't disappear." Hanji stares at it, Zeke stepped out and everyone was silent, Floch got ready to shoot, "Hanji." I whisper, she nods and the three of us jump into the river, I held Levi tight to me as we were carried down stream, we heard the thundering hooves of Floch as he tries to run after us.
We hauled ourselves out of the freezing river, "Are you two alright?" Hanji now pays close attention to our situation, "I'm fine but I need you to help Levi. Please." I plead, Hanji looks at Levi then nods, "We'll need to stitch him up, he's in severe condition." Hanji takes out a medical kit from their uniform and starts preparing the needle and thread, once Hanji finished she held a gun ready to shoot the rest of the pursuers after us, "Look at you, just gotta be a handful for all of us." I stroke his hair, "Everyone's turned titan, Zeke used his ability, everything's going to shit." Hanji sits next to me, "The fact that he's still alive with these wounds is for the same reason isn't it? Because he's an Ackerman." Hanji looks at Levi, I draw my finger across the stitches, it stared at his forehead and went all the way down to his lip, across his eye, "He will probably be blind in his right eye. I'm sorry." Hanji looks at me, I wipe a tear, "As long as he makes it, that's all that matters to me." I felt Hanji rub my arm, "I wonder what just happened, we can't stop Zeke by ourselves, we have no choice but to leave it to Armin and Pixis," I look at them, "When I was acting Commander for the interior while you were out, I noticed a lot of things, even if for instant we assume that Eren was betraying Zeke as long as the Yeagerists rule this island with the spinal fluid we're going to be wanted people our whole lives here. It's probably our turn now, even if we intended on doing the right thing, the times change and we're the ones in the cells. I'd rather just the three of us live it out here." Hanji sighs and rubs the bridge of their nose.
The two of us were building a small trolley so that the horse can drag Levi, I was hammering a wheel when I felt another zap in my heart, "H-Hanji did you feel that?" I look around and touch my chest, "Just now... don't tell me... Eren... the world..." Hanji mutters, I saw Levi sit up, "Levi!" I run over to him and clutch him tight, I feel him wrap his arm around me, "Beast, piece of shit... where is he?" His face was now bandaged up, "You don't need to get up, Zeke headed for Shingashina with the Yeagerists, it's been about half a day since then." I ease him back down and stroke the cheek that wasn't bandaged, "I screwed up, without realising he was prepared to die. I put your life in danger, I let him go... again." He looks at his hand and only saw his ring finger, pinky and thumb, "You must be full of regret but for now. What's left if we run and hide like this." Hanji says and Levi looks at them, "What, you could hear my soliloquy huh." Hanji smiles, "What are you building?" Levi looks at the small cart, "Are you going to pull me with a horse using that?" He stares at it, "There's no way you can be docile while being kept in the dark." He says, "Yeah. That's right, I can't." Hanji smiles, "My objective. Is killing Zeke." Levi stares at the ground determined.
I look off to the distance and saw the Cart titan, "You wait right here." I pat their shoulder and stand up, "Excuse me." I wave my arms, the two of them look at me and try to eat me "WAIT! PLEASE!" I scream, they stop right before she could eat me, "For now, please don't eat me, come on now, you can see I don't have any weapons." I shake my uniform and nothing fell out, "Who's that back there?" They look at Hanji and Levi, "Please, rest assured, that man is in no condition to fight whatsoever." I hold my hands out in surrender. We told them out plan, of killing Zeke, we had a common goal, I look off and saw the rumbling, the hundreds of titans marching across the earth, my mouth opened slightly, "Our interest matches yours Theo Magath, Pieck Finger." I recollect myself, they think it over, "Levi Ackerman, it seems that you have the strength on par with the nine titans but... how do you intend to dodge my bullet like that?" Theo holds his gun up, I gulp, "I can't dodge a bullet, but I negligently exposed this pityful state of mine to the enemy. Shoot or listen, the choice is yours." He sits up, the two men stare at each other, "Then I'll listen before I shoot, you said you'd kill Zeke but where is he now?" Theo lets his gun down, "He's probably with Eren so they can use his royal blood with the founding titan." Hanji says, "It seems like you know everything, titan professor Hanji, even more than us Marleyans were you able to see the founding titan?" Pieck asks, "It was absurdly big and I know it seems like nothing can be done about it so..." Hanji looks at me, I nod and take a step forward, "We have no choice but to combine our strength together. I, Natalie Ackerman, fourteenth Commander of the Scout Regiment, ask for formally and humbly to work with us for this cause." I hold my hand out and stare at them, Pieck bites the inside of her cheeks and hops off the Cart titan, it starts to steam and disintergrate away, "It'd be an honour Commander." She shakes my hand, I smile, "Well. I'm looking forward to it." I pull her into a hug.
