The sound of screaming woke the two up from their peaceful slumber. Whose voice did the screaming come from, you may be wondering.. it was none other than y/n's set alarm.

Nick jumped out from the floor, looking around the room in panic until his eyes spotted y/n, eyes still closed stirring around the bed. The loud alarm consisting of what sounded like children's screams continued for what felt like a minute, before Nick shook the sleepy being lightly awake.

Her eyes fluttered open in annoyance, reaching over to her phone to disable the nauseating noise and then proceeded to lay limp on the bed, not moving.

"What the fuck is your alarm?" He rubbed his eyes, blinking rapidly

She groaned, lazily sliding out of bed. "It helps me wake up"

"Well it didn't seem to help today, did it?" He raised an eyebrow, watching her sit up.

"No I usually let it play until my soul's finished feasting on the screams of crying children." She sarcastically remarked, heading off to the hallway, "hey where's your shower."

"Keep walking straight and then open the door in the middle" he shouted from his room, plopping down on his unmade bed.

He listened to the bathroom door creak open and shut close. He had big plans for today in which he had to look somewhat presentable.. or at least a little more presentable than he usually does.

He peeked into his closet, pulling a wrinkled white button up from the very corner off it's designated hanger. He regarded the wrinkles, wondering if it'd be an issue, but then realized that his stepmom took his hot iron over half a year ago and never gave it back. Guess that pretty much made the choice for him.

Then he dug in an untouched pile of clothes in the very depths of the closet, seeking out a specific pair of black dress pants that his mom made him buy for a violin recital back when he was in high school. He unfolded them, assuming he'd fit without much thought. He got a bit taller since the last time but it's not like he can pull up wearing his black nike shorts, could he?

He peeked out in the hall quickly, making sure y/n was still in the bathroom. After confirmation, he locked the door and got changed.

He looked at himself in his full body mirror, forcing a smile on his face as if to pretend he'd actually like it. A loud knock on the door caught his attention, and he'd slide over in his socks to open it, meeting eyes with y/n who now had wet hair, still wearing the same thing from yesterday.

"You look ridiculous" was the first thing to come out of her mouth, pushing Nick out of the way in search of her bag.

"Well what do you insist I do, smart ass?" He scoffed, heading back to the full body mirror.

Y/n approached in front of him, taking the untucked fabric of his wrinkled shirt and forcing them into his dress pants, fingers getting smushed by the already tight belt he'd put on.

"Woah there" he flinched in surprise, raising his hands up.

"Where are you even going where you have to dress like a complete idiot?" She asked, folding his sleeves just until they hit his elbow.

"Not relevant." He smiled in secrecy

"And you couldn't even straighten your shit out?" She exclaimed, running her hands over his chest in an attempt to flatten out the numerous creases.

"Blame my stepmom. 'Paid like 20 bucks for that damn iron and immediately never saw it again after she laid her eyes on it." He chuckled

She stepped back to stand behind him, looking at his reflection in the mirror. "Have I told you that you look so stupid right now?"
