(If you don't already know, Oliver is an OC, in the fifth cohort, and son of Mercury/Hermes. The other characters that you don't recognize will be OC's. That's all! Enjoy!)

Jason? Reyna? Idk anymore tbh.

Due to habit, Jason woke up early, just a few minutes before Reyna did. He groaned and rolled over, wondering why he was on a couch, in Reyna's- ooooh. It came flooding back to him, a few seconds late, but yesterday's events came back. Getting up, Jason rubbed his eyes and yawned, taking in his surroundings. He'd been in Reyna's (I'm calling them houses or apartments) house before, but it was still unfamiliar to him. Once fully woken up, Jason sat up and considered calling out to his girlfriend, but considering that silence, she hadn't awoken yet. 'Girlfriend.'

Jason thought about for a while. 'Girlfriend.' Even if he'd only been with his 4-year-long crush for a week, Jason felt things had been going smoothly. Now that he wasn't so awkward around Reyna all the time, they were brilliant leaders and worked well together, doing everything much quicker than they had the week prior. But then Oliver came along. Of course Jason knew it was his fault, but he couldn't help but make excuses for himself.  Jason had been swamped with work since he became praetor, and being with Reyna so much but not telling her about his feelings, that had taken a lot of energy, causing Oliver to slip his mind for about......a year.  Groaning, Jason knew there was no acceptable excuse for what he'd done, ignoring his best friend for a year. It might've been acceptable for a week, or maybe two, but a year? Jason knew he certainly wouldn't forgive someone for that, so why should Oliver, especially when Jason forgot their most special bond and broke a promise?

Just then, Reyna stepped out of her room, looking momentarily surprised to see Jason sitting there before she remembered. Instinctively running a hand through his hair, Jason stood up and walked over to her, giving her a hug and forehead kiss. "Thanks and sorry for yesterday Reyna, you really helped me out."

Though Reyna tried to squirm out of his grip, Jason knew she secretly liked his hugs. Giving up as she laid her head on his chest, she muttered, "I hate how you're taller than me."

Jason smirked but kissed the top of her head. "Deal with it Ramirez-Arellano." Letting go of her, he backed off a few paces before adding, "But, erm, thank you Reyna, for yesterday. I shouldn't have been such a mess. I'm........if I'm honest, not ready for today in any way, shape, or form, but I'm not entirely ready for any other day either."

Reyna bit her lip, unsure of what to say. She'd never been good at consoling others, giving other's strength was more her area, though she supposed the two were rather similar. Reyna thought for a moment, when a few things clicked together, and she knew how she could help Jason-even if it was a small thing. "You can stay here, as long as you want. I know you don't want to go back to your house, at least not right now."  Jason blinked at the unexpected offer, and to make him feel more comfortable about it, Reyna added, "Plus, your house is a complete mess anyway, you honestly need to be more clean Jason. I'll go get your stuff, you take a shower, you reek, plus, we have an hour before breakfast, you need to be presentable."

Jason rolled his eyes, but smiled slightly, as a show of his graciousness before heading off to the bathroom. As Reyna stepped back into her room to change, (she did need to look presentable) she wondered if it was moving a little fast, it had just been a little over a week since they started dating. Then again, they had technically liked each other for four years. Four years.......now that Reyna thought about it, that was an awfully long time, and was slightly ashamed that she hadn't gotten the nerve to ask Jason out earlier, and was surprised Jason hadn't asked her. She'd have to ask Jason about that later, but for now, Reyna needed to get Jason's things.

(I'm so so so so so so so sorry this is so short, but I honestly don't have the energy or time to write anything longer, I've already spent all my energy and imagination on my homework, but I did three uploads this week, so I hope that makes up for the bad chapter before and this short chapter. I'll be going back to my regular upload schedule, one upload per week on Saturday.)
