(I know think fast means to catch the object thrown at you, but I think we can make an exception here, I don't think anyone would want to catch a sharp object that was thrown at them. I also despise this chapter, but I've already rewritten it several times, and today I have to post it, so please don't kill me for this.)

(Also, thank you for 100 views! I never thought I'd even have 10, thank you!)

"THINK FAST!" Jason's eyes snapped open and he threw himself onto the ground to dodge the throwing knife aimed at his chest. It clinked against the wall behind him and Reyna began to laugh. Getting to his feet, Jason gaped at her. Did she really think that nearly killing him was funny? "Your face......priceless!" Reyna regained her composure after a few moments and walked over, giving Jason a quick kiss. "Sorry about that, I just couldn't resist. It was also a test of your reflexes."

Taking a step back, Jason picked up the knife and glared at his girlfriend, who was still smirking. "You could've killed me!" Chuckling, Reyna rolled her eyes, which further angered Jason. Did she really still think this was funny? But before he could say anything, Reyna took the knife from him and brought it up to her neck. Ignoring a cry from Jason as he lunged toward her, Reyna sidestepped and brought the knife forward. The look of terror on his face melted Reyna's heart, but she did like to be a tiny bit dramatic. The knife made contact, but didn't pierce her skin, and laughing at the confused look on Jason's face, she put the knife to her arm, proving that it didn't actually function.

"It's a training knife, it's blunt, isn't sharp, doesn't work. It wasn't going to kill you, leave a little bruise at most." Jason smiled sheepishly and awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. Walking over to him, Reyna sat the two of them back down. "You fell asleep with a photo in your hand and a box by your side, so I'm guessing things didn't go down well with Oliver." Jason pursed his lips and flashed back to last night, or, early morning.

"Te amo."  I love you. Oliver loved Jason. Hours passed with Jason processing this information, unconsciously tracing the words with his fingers. Finally, Jason moved, leaning back against the wall as he went through the photos again. Except this time, he didn't see two best friends. He saw a couple. Reanalyzing his entire friendship with Oliver, Jason saw moments where it should've been clear to him that Oliver was clearly in love with him. Bringing the wooden box closer to him, Jason went through it for the third time in two days. Soon, exhaustion took over and he drifted asleep.

Coming back to the present time, Jason waved toward the gouge in the ground. "Go look at the....carving? Mark? I don't even know what to call it. Just...go look at it. Oliver said it was still true. He said that he didn't forgive me, but he wouldn't let some boy get in his way and get him kicked out of the legion. Well, something like that, I don't remember the details." Frowning, Reyna got up and headed over to it, taking a minute to decipher the words before sucking in a breath of air.

Jason watched as Reyna straightened before nervously swallowed and licked her lips. "Okay... We'll deal with this later, for now, you still have dried blood everywhere from when you were punched. Breakfast is in half an hour, you'll need to be quick. I'll clean up this mess. Oh, and there's a senate meeting after breakfast, to discuss Terra." Surprised at how calm Reyna was, Jason just nodded and glanced back at her as he ran into the bathroom.

*Time skip to night*

"Three days ago, things were going smoothly, we weren't even that worried about Terra. Two days ago, Terra started acting up a little more, and Oliver happened. How did this entire mess happen so quickly?" Jason groaned and ruffled his hair, feeling a blended mixture of emotions. Lacing her fingers through his, Reyna brought up her boyfriend's hand and kissed it, not sure how to comfort him. The couple sat on the edge of Reyna's bed, discussing the day's events. When together, the fake masks of calm and confidence were usually put down. Usually. Reyna had learned that vulnerability wasn't a good thing, and it would take more than two weeks for her to trust someone enough to lower all her walls. Despite having known Jason for over four years, she still found it hard to trust someone enough to let them know everything about you. The only person she'd ever been completely vulnerable with was her sister, Hylla, and that was only because they'd been through most hardships together, and because they were siblings.
