"Hey North wait up! I have something to give to you." Jace heard someone call him from behind. He stopped in his tracks and turned around only to get caught by surprise. "Xuxi?" Jace asked with an element of shock latched in his voice as he saw the auburn-haired boy run up to him. "Take this. It's my medal from my first music competition. I promised to give it to you." Xuxi put the medal in Jace's hand with the sweetest smile, in Jace's opinion.
Before he could even say anything, Jace felt something shaking him.
"WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING IN BED? LMH HAS GONE TO SCHOOL LONG AGO!" A loud booming voice yelled which caused Jace to jump up from his bed and trying, to rub the sleep off his eyes. As he was still half asleep, he was unable to see who had woken him up or what that person was grumbling about but he was sure that it was none other than his mother. Jace lets out a yawn and takes his own sweet time to stretch himself to get the sleep off. When he was finally done waking up fully, he glanced at the clock sheepishly.
Now it was his turn to scream.
His loud scream must have been heard through the entire neighborhood. "FUCK I'M LATE- FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK-" His voice echoed through the living room which made his mother shout at him for cursing but he couldn't care less now. He finally sprinted in the bathroom and was thankful to their sports teacher for the first time to have made them run laps during P.E. Those running skills definitely strengthened Jace's muscles and would come useful whenever he was running late for school.
In the speed of lightning Jace brushed his teeth and washed his face, after deciding that it was too late to take a shower. Sighing, he rushed back to his room and after getting dressed in the full grey school uniform which he hates, he rushed out of the house with his backpack slung to his shoulder.
As he ran towards the school he brushed his fingers through his hair, trying to make it look presentable but it ended up getting messier. Thank god our house is near the school, Jace thought as he sprinted through his way. He glanced at his wristwatch to see that it was 7:54. 6 minutes left till he was late for his first class. 6 minutes left till he gets detention which is practically hell because detention meant to be in the same room as Lee Donghyuck.
ding dong ding dong ding dong
The school bell booms through the building just in time when Jace had stepped inside the school. He screeched softly while dashing up the stairs and stopped running once he was near his classroom. He brisk-walked inside his classroom, hitching on his breath when he noticed the teacher looking at him with stern eyes while having her arms crossed. Everyone was staring at Jace by now and embarrassed by the attention he was getting for 'not so good' reasons, Jace apologized profusely for being late.
Once he was seated in his seat, Jace let out a sigh of relief cause the teacher didn't mention anything about detention. Well that was one way to start a day Jace, he thought, mentally laughing at himself.
