The sun rays peeked through the curtains and shone right on the sleeping boy's face who was snuggled against his side pillow. With a lot forming on his lips, Sunghoon rubbed his eyes as his deep sleep just got disturbed by the shining sun. He peeped at his table clock and realised that the alarm had not rung yet. He stretched his body and let out a few deep yawns in the process. Then smacking his lips together and rubbing his face with his sweatshirt sleeves for the last time, his hand made its way towards the alarm clock before it could even go off.
Knowing that he had much more time to do his morning routine than usual, he took out his school uniform and laid it on the bed neatly. After being satisfied at how neat the uniform looked, he nodded his head with a satisfied smile and headed towards the shower. Now that he had ample time, he decided that it would be nice to take a long warm shower. He turned on the water faucet and after adjusting the warmth of the water he entered the shower and sighed at how soothing the warm water felt against his tender skin. Throughout the whole process, he was humming a random melody that just came to his mind. "God I love this melody! I should write it down after getting out of the shower." Sunghoon said to himself as he continued to hum the tune. "Wait- what was the previous tune again?"
After he was finished taking his shower and stepped out of the bathroom, he glanced at the table clock and almost choked. His eyes became wide in shock and his jaw dropped to see that there were only thirty minutes left till the school gate closed and yet, he was still here at his house. That's when it also hit him that he had been in the shower for almost an hour !
By the time Sunghoon reached the school, he was out of breath and unfortunately the school gate was closed just a minute ago. Sunghoon was just a minute late to arrive at his destination. "Can you please let me in just this once?" He pleaded to the security in charge but the big man didn't even budge a little. "I was late for a minute. Just this once please ~ " He tried his best at pleading to the man while showing his most irresistible pout and puppy eyes that not even Satan can reject.
"Sir can you please let him in?" suddenly someone said from inside the gates. "He had arrived earlier but then something came up so he had to leave for a while. To his misfortune, he just came back late. Can't you let him in for just this time?" Without even seeing who it was Sunghoon knew that it was none other than the school's Headboy Jung Sungchan. His crush Jung Sungchan.
The security looked back at Sunghoon with a suspicious gaze in his eyes. "He's right! I had arrived earlier but something came up so I had to leave for a while." He said with the most convincing expression on his face. "Alright, but just this once okay?" The man said with a sigh as he proceeded to open the gate.
Sunghoon huffed and quickly thanking the security, he ran past the gate before the man could change his mind. He came up to Sungchan who was standing there with his hands inside his blazer pocket. His eyes crinkled into the most famous smile that would make anyone in the school head over heels for him, as he waited for the boy to walk up to him. "T-thanks a lot Sungchan!" Sunghoon said nervously as he still couldn't believe his crush had just helped him and now he was speaking with him.
"It's okay. You should head towards your class now. Lessons will start soon. You don't want to be late for them as well do you?" Sungchan said with a warm smile as he softly patted Sunghoon's shoulder. Sunghoon muttered a small 'thank you' and bowing quickly, he rushed off towards the main building, almost tripping on his way. That left Sungchan shaking his head as he said with a chuckle, "How cute-"
