Hyeji could finally breathe out a sigh of relief after the two week long final exams came to an end. How did they go? Well you know what, don't ask that question cause she doesn't remember. Music and instruments might be Hyeji's thing but academics, not really. However, now the exams were over and in order to celebrate that, she walked straight from school to the nearest conveniencvve store to pick up her favourite snack.
She heard the familiar ring as she entered and rushed to the chips rack, almost in a sprint. Those snacks were quite popular and their school wasn't the only one whose final exams had come to an end that day so the chips had run out of stock pretty fast. Fortunately to her luck, there was still one last packet of chips left and thanking the Gods, just as she reached out and got hold of the packet, another hand came and gripped onto the smart packet of chips.
Hyeji looked up and her eyes immediately met with another soft pair of eyes which surprisingly had an uncanny mischief going in it too. She noticed that the boy's uniform was the same as her's indicating that they went to the same school so why is it that she has never seen him before. Her focus had wavered for a bit because, definitely the brown haired boy was quite cute but now the packet of chips was more important to her. She gave a small tug on the packet she was holding onto and said,
"Look student, we go to the same school so I don't wanna start a fight between the two of us so that it becomes hard for us to encounter each other at school. I really had a hard and stressful day so can you please be a gentleman and let me have the chips?" Hyeji tried to convince him without wanting to start a fight. Well it was true that Hyeji gets into a lot of fights but she is not the type of girl who would unnecessarily beat up people.
"Well, now don't act as if you were the only one who had exams. As you said, we are from the same school so that means my exams ended today too so I have every right on this snack as well. Now be a good girl and be honoured to offer this snack to a handsome guy like me." The guy said, not seeming to be in his best mood either. Yet he had the guts to pass such a stupid comment and slyly snatch away the chips from Hyeji. This was enough to get onto her nerves.
From there it all went south. What had just started as a simple argument, elevated to a one-on-one fight accompanied by a tug-of-war with that packet of chips. What had that poor snackie done to get tortured like this? At one point of time, Hyeji's hand had grabbed onto the boy's hair and she would have definitely pulled out a fistful of those silky smooth strands if an employee had not come to stop them.
The employee was shocked about what the hell all the ruckus was about and finding out the reason, well you can say she was not pleased at all. It was ridiculous at how such grown up students could fight over a simple packet of chips. Being disappointed by their behaviour, the employee threw them out of the store without any snack.
From that day onwards Hyeji had grown a deep grudge against her ‘chips thief’ and really can't stand to be in the same room as him. She had later found out that his name is Lee Donghyuck and also another infamous troublemaker of the school and really hoped that both of them would never have to interact with each other cause she would definitely end up killing him.
— I have been waiting for so long to write this iconic scene again haha.
