Jungkook's POV-

Why did he want me to stop and talk to him? He didn't even say anything!

Why did I even stop in the first place?

I should have ignored him and kept walking but when I heard his voice, the sadness in his tone, it made my heart ache.

I have always thought of myself as the victim while he and Jin were off living a happy and carefree life, not wasting a single second thinking about me and my feelings... but his voice shattered that idea for me.

I've never heard him so hurt. Then seeing his face, his eyes... It broke my heart.

As I waited for him to say something, anything, my sadness had slowly melted back into anger.

I had to leave before it took over and I said or did anything to escalate the situation.

It feels like I've been walking for a while now but according to my watch it's only been about fifteen minutes.

On our way to Tae's house I had noticed us pass a café that looked pretty busy, which made me think it may be popular enough with locals to give it a try.

As I round the corner I finally see the place come into view, relief hitting me immediately at the sight as I am glad it wasn't quite as far away as I thought it would be.

As I walk up to the doors and push my way inside, the smell I'm welcomed with is intoxicating.

Not too strong for my sensitive sense of smell, which I find quite rare with bakeries and cafés sometimes.

Taking a few more steps inside while I look around I don't fail to notice that this is basically laid out as any typical Starbucks.

In fact, they could slap the lady with the white hair in the green circle out front and I don't think anyone would know the difference.

It has a nice ambiance nonetheless.

I make my way to the counter to be greeted with a rather cheery barista that seems a bit over excited to be working on a Friday afternoon.

His smile is contagious though and I can't help but give one in return.

"Hi! Welcome to Soo's Café, my name is Key. What can we get started for you?" He recites a little loudly while holding his smile.

I take a moment to glance at the menu over his shoulder before answering. "I'd like an iced Americano, the largest size, and a..." I pause as I look over the pastry case.

"What do you recommend from here." I ask, nodding towards it.

"The cake pops are a favorite, but I don't find them the best when paired with the coffee. I think they're more of a companion to the Frappuccinos.

"Ya know, because those are sweet and cake, of course, is also sweet and you obviously already have a sweet tooth if you even consider ordering the two together so might as well go all out..." he trails off a little before coming back to answering my question. "Anyway, I would recommend the Banana Bread or any of the muffins. Those go well with the coffee."

Yep, this is a Starbucks I think to myself as I continue eyeing the case. "I'll take a slice of Banana Bread please."

He happily punches the order into the computer before telling me my total.

I hand him my cash, telling him to keep the change.

It wasn't much, but he was nice and with the morning I've had, I needed a little genuine kindness.
