Prologue

It was a breath of fresh air.

Pagkalapag na pagkalapag ko pa lamang sa London ay sobrang nakakapanibago. It felt like I was living on my own fairytale. I was only seeing everything in the screen of my smartphone and I never expected that I'll finally stood where Harry Styles lives. I would die and sacrificed everything for that beautiful man. Though of course, aside from fangirling, this is the dream, to live like one with the royals—well, not really, but we breathe the same air so I guess that would be counted as one.

But I wouldn't even be here in the first place if I hadn't granted a sponsorship by the Mercondia's. They paid everything to my plane tickets, accommodation for three months, and monthly allowances. And that's a good thing for me. Hindi naman mayaman ang family namin to afford me being in this country.

Three days before now, I would be starting my internship sa isang tech company sa Canary Wharf District na eleven minutes lamang ang layo mula sa apartment na tinitirhan ko sa Newham.

My place was cozy. Everything was perfectly place for me. Feeling ko hindi naman ako mahihirapan sa mga gagawin ko rito sa London. Basically, I hope I wouldn't get the difficult orders dahil kabago-bago ko pa lamang at baka ma-overwhelm lamang ako and I don't want that to happen.

Gusto ko lang i-enjoy ang experience ko rito. I wanted to make this something memorable kapag natapos ang three months na pananalagi ko rito.

One good thing being in London that I have a tita who works here. Kapatid siya ni mama and she's only fifteen years older than me. I'm only 21 while she's 36. Bunso siya sa anim na magkakapatid and I think shs was here since she turned 27 so she's been staying almost a decade na sa bansa.

I would say we're not much that close. But when she was around when I was little, she was the one who look after us when mom left to go to grocery and when she found out that I was in London, she agreed to see me today.

Though she lives far away from where I am staying. She stayed with a family in Richmond and if I would take the bus, I would probably get there after an hour and a half and I walked there it will take me five hours so we both planned to meet halfway para fair. At saka nangangapa pa ako sa kapaligiran ko.

I just came here yesterday at natatakot akong lumabas ng kwarto ko. Good thing there was delivery foods kaya hindi na ako lumabas, but today naglakas na ako ng loob para naman hindi na ako maligaw—which I would be expecting for the next few weeks.

I took the bus to our meeting place. Ayokong maligaw at mapunta sa kung saan-sana. It would be a good thing sana kung may kakilala akong naninirahan dito aside from my tita. I think that would be good. Mas mapapadali ang familiarization ko sa London and if not, I can still use my phone map as a guide.

It didn't take me too long when I finally reached the place where I would be meeting Tita Ginalyn. According to my tita, this place was called columbia road flower market at pagkapasok ko pa lamang sa area ay napansin ko naman ang stores ng mga bulaklak—para lang akong nasa dangwa sa maynila, but this place was much intricate than what was in the Philippines.

Tita agreed to meet us in the very first time in this area because this place would be only open during Sundays and it's a great timing for me. My flight from Manila to London was so exhausting na tama nga lang talaga ang ginawa kong pagpapahinga kahapon ng buong araw. That was an eight hour flight, pero worth it naman ang lahat once the plane landed.

Gusto ko ngang halikan ang sahig ng Heathrow Airport kahapon. Pinigilan ko lang ang sarili ko kasi baka magmukha akong baliw.

There were a few people walking back and forth then buying some flowers from the shops. Hindi nabanggit sa akin ni tita kung saan banda kami magkikita so I'll just wait for her na lang and I'm hoping na walang mangyaring masama sa akin ngayon dito.
