Chapter 2 - The news

I found myself on the usual bed waking up, I felt like I got hit by a massive truck. I heard muffled yelling and voices outside the building demanding something, so I groggily got up and forced myself to look at the window.

"Holy shit..." I mumbled, "What happened here?"

I saw reporters crowding around the area and many people just barging into the building.

"Hitoshi?" I whispered.

"HITOSHI?" I yelled,

I quickly walked over to the door and tried opening it.

It was locked, how do they even manage to lock someone inside out? Did they somehow reverse the doors or something?

I started banging on the door, hoping someone would notice me,

"Anyone out there?" I questioned,

Silence responded to me.

"THIS IS NOT FUNNY!" I shouted, "GET ME OUT OF THIS ROOM!"

I kept banging on the door and falling flat on my face when it opened.

"Get up brat, time for school." Mrs. Suki said,

"Where are all the other students?" I asked quietly,

"I don't give a shit, hurry up and get your ass up," she replied,

Dang, that was not useful at all. I have no idea what's going on and nobody is giving me answers, I decided to dress in my uniform only to find bushy tails coming out of my waist,

"Whoa..." I mumbled, this was not a rabbit's tail I can say.

"Wait..." I asked myself, "If I'm not a rabbit. What am I?"

I started wondering, counting the tails I have and reach for my head; patting myself while producing soft purrs.

"HURRY UP BRAT, YOU ARE ALREADY LATE FOR SCHOOL, DON'T MAKE ME COME IN THERE!" Mrs. Suki yelled,

So much for analyzing, I quickly got up and sprinted out the door with my yellow backpack. I checked my phone only realizing that I am already 30 minutes late.

"OMG, TOSHI YOU BEEP WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP?" I cursed,

I first started jogging my way out, while people within the crowd just stared at me, while I stared back at them. I felt awkward so I sprinted towards my middle school, however, the crowds just followed behind me and flashing their cameras at me. I decided to pick up the pace as they also followed along. I didn't know what to do anymore, so I just ignored them while I ran to school.

When I reached the classroom door, I was met with a bunch of faces (Toshi was not in my class, we were in different classes.).

"H-hey?" I slightly questioned.

I heard gasps from the girls and boys and even the teacher, I slowly made myself towards my desk and plopped myself down.

"O-o-ok c-c-class, q-quiet d-down." The teacher stumbled, "W-we a-are g-g-going to c-c-continue."

I started writing notes down as the teacher started teaching, I heard whispers around the room while the boys gave me flirtatious winks and body language. I felt disgusted so I turned back to my notebook.

"Hey, the class is pretty boring right?" said my head,

"Who are you?" I whispered,

"Heyyyyy, you can call me Ichika," it responded, "I'm a new addition to your mind."

"Huh," I thought to myself, "New addition to my mind?"

"Sorry, you are probably very confused." They corrected, "I'm your spirit animal!"

"Wha- How? Huh" I stammered,

"I'm a nine-tailed fox, which is referred to as a kitsune. I can hear and understand your thoughts, just think of me as a sister who can read your mind!" Ichika replied,

A kitsune? I never heard of that before. However, I heard that foxes are the rarest animal so far. WAIT, does that mean I'm a fox? I never realized that could be an option...

I trailed off, as I heard the whispers quiet down and have a few pairs of eyes looks at me,

"S-s-sorry," I muttered,

"Took you long enough to figure out!" She exclaimed,

"So is that why crowds are chasing me?" I asked,

"I think so!" She responded, "You can ask as many questions you'd like! After all, I will be with you until you die!"

"Oooookkkkk, I'm pretty concerned with the last comment you made," I spoke in my mind.

I continued chatting with Ichika to increase our bond. From my researches, you would gain the appearance and special abilities of the type of animals you receive, I can also block our communication when we need to be productive.

"Since you are all third years now, I expect you all to start thinking about your future plans and packs you are going to form or which packs you are going to." The teacher announced.

"Don't lump me with these shitty extras," Kacchan boomed,

"Bakugo Katsuki." The teacher said, "You want to go to UA, don't you?"

"These extras would be lucky to even become apart of a pack!" He said

Explosions and wolf howls were coming from Kacchan as he started emitting dominant pheromones,

"Ah, Midoriya, you want to go to UA too right?" The teacher asked,

I mentally cursed to myself as I thought I was not ready for this, I put my head on the desk and covered myself with my arms as I was ready to be laughed at and punched.

However, the laughter never came, either did the abuse.

"Shitty deku..." Kacchan muttered, "Thinks he is so special after becoming a lame-ass fox."

"No way..." I heard

"UA's entrance exams are hard..."

"I head they only accept 0.2%"

"When you graduate from UA, you are most likely going to form your own pack..."

I heard the bell ring for lunch as I quickly gathered my things and went to find Hitoshi.
