~Personal for Imani~
Roc went to the store and he hasn’t been home in 3 hours. You’re starting to get worried. It’s never taken this long before. You called him 5 times. After that you gave up. About 10 pm you got tired and went to bed. Around 2:00am you were awaken by moaning downstairs in the living room. Since you were just sleeping in your bra and underwear. You put on one of Roc’s T-shirts and walked down stairs.
Imani: Roc?
You keep walking until you got to the guest room on the first floor. You opened the door and saw him cheating with a girl you’ve seen on tour with him numerous times before.
Imani: Really Roc?
Roc: It’s not what you think, Imani! I’m sorry wait!
You grabbed your keys and drove. You didn’t know where to go. You lived in LA with Roc, you don’t know anywhere else, but home which is in Barbados. So you decide to leave your car at your best friends house in downtown LA. You asked your best friend Mya if she could fly you out to Barbados. She asked why and you told her. She told you no. Every boyfriend you’ve had cheated and you’ve done the same thing every time, you go to Barbados for three months then you come back.
Imani: Mya I need to I can’t do this anymore.
Mya: Imani, Fleeing to Barbados isn’t gonna help you-you need to fix your problems with Roc. You can stay here for the night, but you’re not leaving the country again.
Imani: Why? maybe I’m not meant to be with anyone. You know i thought Roc was the one, but I don’t know what went wrong.
Mya: When’s the last time you’ve had sex with him?
Imani: Wow, it’s been a while. I’ve been so busy that I don’t really have time for him, like i should.
Mya: What you don’t do another woman will.
Imani: Mya he knows I’m always busy and when I do have down time I’m too tired to do anything.
Mya: Imani you need to fix this.
Imani: How is this my fault I’m not the one who cheated.
Mya: Someone can only be ignored for so long before they move on. Roc probably had enough. Imani I know you don’t mean to do it, but after your first boyfriend everyone you had after him you neglected them. You push people away unintentionally, and i think you pushed Roc. He was my best friend way before you. I’m not gonna take you pushing him away.
She throws your cellphone at you because Roc was calling.
~Via Phone Call~
Imani: Hello?
Prod: Hey Imani, It’s Prodigy We need you to talk to Roc. He’s sitting balled up in a corner.
You say nothing.
Prod: Hello?
You give the phone to Mya and crawl into the bed and begin to bawl your eyes out.
Mya: Hello?
Prod: Hello? Oh hey Mya. We need to fix this.
Mya: I know. She just got up and went to a damn corner.
Prod: How about you bring Imani over here and let’s see if they can fix this.
Mya: I’m coming now.
Prod: Alright thanks.
Mya helps you up and put you in your blue Mercedes and drove to Roc’s. After 35 minutes Mya pulled up in front of Roc’s house. She made you get out and forced you upstairs into you and Roc’s bedroom. When you got up there you looked at Roc and sank into the opposite corner. All you guys did was stare at each other. Finally Prodigy and Mya got mad and left, leaving you and Roc in the room.
"I’m sorry." Roc says getting up and sitting next to you.
"I’m sorry, too."
Roc hugs you and you hug him back.
The two of you stayed like that for about 15 minutes. Then you sat on bed talked out your problems and fell asleep wrapped in each others arms.
