Morgan Monteith
✵It was dark out when the "Scooby-gang", as Damon had sarcastically dubbed them earlier that day, finally pulled up to the High-school.
Elena and Stefan were quick to get out of the car and go meet up with Jeremy and Bonnie; Damon and Morgan however stayed seated in the car for a couple of seconds.Morgan looked nervously at the school through her open window. The last time she'd been at a high school dance it wasn't exactly a success, and she found herself suddenly dreading it as a soft breeze carried the bass heavy music through the night air.
"Maybe I should just stay here?" Morgan suggested as she kept her gaze on the lights leaving the red brick building. Damon huffed, "Nonsense. If I have to suffer through it, so do you."
"Hey!" Morgan squealed as Damon got out, went over to her side of the car and pulled her out, before almost dragging her with him over to the others. "Sorry not sorry. Did I mention that the sixties look smokin' on you?" He commented giving her a quick look as they walked.
"Shut up." Morgan hissed as she pulled at the dress' hem in an attempt to make it cover more of her thighs.
"Hello." Damon greeted the group nonchalantly. Bonnie scowled at him, "Damon."
It was no real secret to anyone that Bonnie didn't particularly enjoy Damon's company, still, Morgan found it quite rude how she didn't even try to hide her distaste just a little bit. "You brought Morgan?" Bonnie stated, turning to Elena a bit surprised.
"She did." Morgan replied for her carbon-copy with a small curtsy.
"I'm Jeremy, the little brother." The boy held out his hand for her to take and she gladly shook it. "–Elena has told me quite a bit about you after I met you that one night. You know the one where your plan with Katherine most likely saved her life." Morgan smiled and nodded with a small chuckle. "I remember. Nice to officially meet you Jeremy."
Morgan looked to Jeremy's side as Bonnie stepped forward, "Can I just say that I love that the two of you went for the twin costumes." She stated excitedly.
Morgan huffed semi-amused, "Not to sound like the evil doppelgänger, but I'm not exactly in this costume nor at this party out of free will." She admitted tiredly with a shrug. "Well, you look great." Bonnie told her as she reached out and gave her arm a little squeeze of support. Morgan took a deep breath as she mentally prepared herself for the evening, "Thanks, you too."
Morgan watched, vaguely aware of the presence of Damon behind her, as the rest of the group went inside, leaving them behind. A second went by before Damon walked up to her and offered her his arm.
As much as he was painted to be the bad guy of the group, Morgan couldn't help but think of how much support he'd offered her lately."You ready to do this?"
Inside everyone was dancing, the music was loud and a couple students mistook Morgan for Elena only to be corrected by her.
"Thanks for being here, everybody, I'm Dana and we have a special shout-out tonight." A girl excitedly announced into the microphone.
Everyone including the whole Scooby Gang stopped and looked at the stage.
"–This is for Elena. From Klaus." Morgan rolled her eyes and sighed, while Elena looked nervously around, clearly on edge.
