Morgan Monteith

Morgan woke up early the day after the tea party and werewolf torture session. Her thoughts kept circulating around a certain original and her encounter with him. He'd been nothing like she'd expected. Actually, he was the polar opposite of what she'd expected, and she couldn't quite wrap her head around if that was a good or a bad thing.

One thing that was easy to wrap her head around however was the immense pain in the left side of her face, specifically in the areas around her jaw and cheekbone. From what she could deduct from the person who's fault this was, Jules had been wearing a ring and had a mean right hook. The semi deep cut on over her cheekbone and the purplish blue colour that decorated most of the left side of her face told her that.

Morgan had gone to the kitchen to get some painkillers when she'd bumped into Damon who stood by the kitchen island, already dressed for the day and with a cup of coffee in hand. "Oh, wow." Damon stated as she began rummaging through the cupboards without even trying to cover up her face.
"Shush Damon. I have a killer werewolf-induced concussion and I really need the painkillers like right now, it hurts really bad, I'm serious." Damon watched her facial expression change from irritated to desperate as she begged him to understand.

"Here, let me have a look at it." He sighed. Morgan looked at him surprised as he approached her. She didn't move a muscle as she let him take her head into his hands, turning it slightly so he could inspect her injury. "—She really got you good huh.." He mumbled as he carefully let his thumb caress her cheekbone with the cut on it, making Morgan hiss painfully and take a step away from him.

"I thought Elijah gave you some blood before he left?" Damon questioned going back to his cup of coffee seeing how uncomfortable she was with him so close to her. "I didn't want vampire blood in my system. Besides, drinking other people's blood is just weird."

"Right." Damon said dryly making Morgan sigh as she realised just who, or rather what, she was speaking to. "Whatever, you've had centuries to adjust, I'm just an ordinary human girl."

"Technically you're not." He corrected her shamelessly. "I was until you dragged me into this whole mess." Morgan shot back getting slightly annoyed.

"Oh, the 'you kidnapped me and I resent you for it' card. Classic." Damon stated sarcastically as he clicked his tongue and raised his eyebrows. Morgan glared at him, "You know considering you kidnapped me, I've been really cooperative and understanding of your situation. Need I remind you that I took a beating just yesterday to protect you and your brother's epic love or whatever when I could have just as easily told them where the moonstone was."

Silence filled the room after Morgan's outburst until Damon put down his mug, "Elena's stash of painkillers are in Stefan's bathroom under the sink." He told her simply before leaving the room and Morgan.
