I must start this off with a warning: don't mess with elusive creatures. Don't provoke them, just don't go near them. No matter how curious you are.
I was the weird kid in middle school, I liked reading weird books like anything like Edgar Allan Poe, and any monster book. I loved to visit places where urban legends supposedly took place, because it just seemed so interesting to me. It's all fun to look at in books and movies, but in real life; think otherwise.
