"Where is she?" Stiles asked when he got out of his Jeep with Jocelyn following behind him.

"Over here!" Allison said, and they came towards us.

"Lydia?"

"It's the same thing. Same thing as the pool." She said. "I got into the car heading somewhere totally different, and ended up here. And you told me to call you if there's a dead body."

"You found a dead body?" Jocelyn asked her.

"Not yet."

"Not yet?" Stiles repeated. "What do you mean not yet? Lydia, you're supposed to call us after you find the dead body."

"Oh, no, I'm not doing that again." She said, refusing to find another dead body, which I can't really blame her for. "You find the dead body from now on."

"How are we supposed to find the dead body?" He asked her. "You're always the one finding the dead body."

"Guys!" Scott interrupted their little banter, looking ahead of us. "I found the dead body."

I look over and step back in shock when we see a dead deputy draped over the Beacon Hills High School sign.

"Hey, what's that?" Jocelyn asked me as I painted on my canvas.

"A tree." I answered, not even glancing over at her.

"A tree? You know, that looks really familiar. I feel like I've seen it somewhere." She said, staring at the tree that I've been painting.

"What? Joce, that's impossible." I said, putting down my paintbrush and looking at her.

She chuckled, putting on a fake smile. "Yeah, maybe you're right. Hey, who took you to school this morning? I didn't see Allison's car."

"Oh, Stiles gave me a lift. Allison didn't feel like coming in today. Are you going to the recital later tonight?" I ask her.

She nodded. "Yeah, my parents are going too, and my grandma."

"Hm. What about Firass?"

"I think he'll be there too. Besides, he's crushing on this violinist, so he will definitely be there." She said, and I let out a small laugh.

The more I thought about tonight I got this bad feeling. I felt like something was going to happen. Something bad.

"Why are you even talking to me?" Ethan asked us as we all stood in the stairwell. "I helped kill your friend. How do you know I'm not gonna kill another one?"

"Is he looking at me?" Stiles suddenly asked, and I turn to him. "Are you threatening me? You know what I'm gonna do?" He said, getting closer to Ethan. "I'm gonna break off an extra large branch of mountain ash, wrap it in wolfsbane, roll it in mistletoe, and shove it up your freaking-"

"Whoa, Stiles, okay. We get it." Scott said, pushing him back.

"I didn't. Mind doing it again, I forgot to press record." Jocelyn said, taking out her phone and I started to laugh, not even caring about the looks that I was getting from Scott and Ethan.

"We're talking to you." Scott said to Ethan, brushing the two of us off. "Because I know you didn't want to kill Boyd. And I think that if something like that happened now, you wouldn't do it again."

"You don't know what we owe them, especially Deucalion. We weren't like Kali and Ennis when we met him. We weren't alphas."

"What were you?" Scott asked.
