chloe pov

i'm driving billie back home and the car ride is silent. once i pull into her driveway she mumbles a quick "thank you" before getting out.

i wait until she enters the house before heading back home. once i get home i take off all my clothes and get into the shower.

i finish my shower and get into my favorite pajama set. i get on my bed and open my laptop.

i finish up some assignments as the tv play for background noise. i notice one of my assignments have already been put in as a zero even though the due date isn't until two weeks from now.

luckily for this professor she gave us one of those fake ass phone numbers so we can text after school hours.

i work on assignments that isn't due until another week for thirty minutes before passing out sleep.

it's 10 am and i'm just now getting to campus. i walk down the sidewalk and a group of guys smile when walking past me. i give back a friendly smile and as i get some distance away i hear them literally giggling.

it's not that deep...

i have practice tonight for the play. i'm so excited, i hope none of the directors or stage managers are rude.

i head to the building of where professor william's office is. i enter in and go in the elevator because who about to walk up them stairs after walking to this building.

once i get to her office door, that's very much open i knock anyways. she looks up from her computer and smiles when she sees me.

"come in" she say and i walk in and close the door behind me

she's so fine. she's young too so it's like...come home bae.

"how have your morning been so far?" she asks me as i sit down at the chair across from her desk

"it's been okay, a tiny bit tired since i was up later than usual working on assignments. what about you?"

"i didn't get any sleep really because of my neighbor being horrible" she say

"that sucks" i say

"anyways, what's the assignment name?" she asks before going on her computer

"it's the importance of theatrical production powerpoint assignment" i say

she click around before nodding her head. "hm,seems you're not the only person this has happened to. props to you for actually being attentive" she smiles

"noticed that grade drop and was highly confused" i say

she lets out a laugh and i got wet. "you're passing my class with a high a. that's honestly impressive. many people say my class is hard"

"i don't think it's hard with the right professor" i say smiling at her

"really?" she asks in a challenging way

"yeah, if i didn't have you as my professor i totally would be failing this course" i say

"although this nice of you to say, i believe you would pass this course even if i wasn't your professor. you're an amazing student who listens and participates and actually makes an effort" she compliments

"well i appreciate that" i say

"just the truth, anything else you wanted to talk about?"

"what made you want to become a professor? me personally, i couldn't do it"

"actually, wasn't planning on it. i had dreams that had to be put on hold because of major things happening in my life. shit happens" she say shrugging

"why did you put them on hold? what held you back?"

"i was in a relationship and the job i wanted is out of state which meant i had to move. it was either the job or my partner. i chose my partner which was stupid of me considering we aren't together anymore. don't let anyone hold you back."

"yeah no i won't. i broke up with my ex because she cheated on me. she was using me to get close to my friend at the time." i shrug

"are they now dating?"

"no,my friend was definitely not interested and my ex was stalking her so my friend moved away. we aren't friends anymore though because of the situation" i say

"well that's stupid" she say

"shit happens" i say mocking her words

she lets out a chuckle before asking "are you excited out this being your last school year? you graduate very soon"

"yes, i have my own house,car,job and now i finally graduate and can quit my job and start my career" i say

"what is it that you plan to do?"

"act, i just got a role for one of the school's play. you should check it out. its called hairspray. i act,sing and model. i'm pretty good with fashion so i could do something with that too."

"i can tell you model and are into fashion but the acting and singing part shocked me" she say

"yeah,i never really grew up as a theatre kid but passion is there i promise"

"don't worry ill be at your play" she smirks

suddenly we get interrupted by the sound of someone knocking at her door. "come in" she say

a girl walks in and smiles at me. "hi professor, i have a question about an assignment"

"i'll head out" i say standing up

"see you in class later" professor williams tell me

"see you!" i say a little too happily before leaving out the office

it's now lunch time and billie and i are both at the cafe together.

her headphones are in as she listens to her music while eating.

i forgot to charge my airpods so it's just awkward right now . suddenly i hear her music stop and she looks up at me. "what are you doing later?"

"nothing other than practice ,why?"

"can i come over to yours?" she asks

"yeah" i nod

"great" she smiles

"how you holding up?"i ask remembering about last night

"i'm just pissed that he left me all because i said i couldn't see myself dating him. i was being truthful. he's so childish." she roll her eyes

"he's so butt hurt, he didn't deserve you anyways. he's a lame ass guy" i say

"i agree, i just wanted to give him a chance" she say

my phone gets a notification and i look down seeing its professor williams.
