chloe pov

it's friday and i'm currently raiding my closet looking for something to wear on my date with billie.

my room looks a mess with clothes thrown everywhere. i've tried on many outfits and second guessed myself and took them off.

i pull out a long light green dress i forgot i even owned. i smile looks down at my lace bra and underwear knowing it matches the dress.

i put my dress on and zip it up after multiple failed attempts by myself. if my roommate was here,i wouldn't have struggled as bad as i just did.

i look in the mirror and smile at how i look. yeah this is perfect for today. i really could bullshit and throw on some sneakers under my dress but i won't do that.

i facetime my mom to show her my look and when she answers it her resting face goes to a smile. "you look great chloe" she say

"thank you. it took me forever to find what to wear" i say before showing her my messy room

"are you excited for your date?" she asks me

"yeah i am" i smile thinking about it

"remember, this is billie's first time dating a girl so be easy on her. i know how harsh you are on dates, that's why you've been so single for so long"

"mom! i don't even be harsh i ask important questions" i defend myself

i head to the bathroom and begin retouching my wig.

"so asking someone have they ever cheated and if they reply with yes you tell them that you would poison them even they every tried it with you is totally not harsh"

"it's not harsh mom, it's the truth. cheat on me expect to die" i shrug "plus i have nothing to worry about, billie's never cheated before...that i know of. we tell each other everything"

i put my wig band on and begin to do my makeup. "i know michelle have done you very terribly but not everyone is like that"

"you're right, but that's all i seek to attract. either way, i know billie's not like that. this date is to get to know her romantically, things she likes and more" i say

"are you buying her flowers?" my mom asks

"yeah buy the girl flowers chloe" i hear sekani's voice echo

"shut up sekani. and yes mom i am" i say before suddenly getting a random thought "what if i get so nervous i have explosive diarrhea"

"you're worrying about something that will not happen" she sighs

we sit in silence as i finish up my makeup. i put my lip combo on before using my setting spray. "you're so gorgeous. i really made you, i really did that. you took my whole face" my mom say smiling

"thank you mom, i get it from the best" i smile and suddenly the words 'mom took a facetime photo' pops up.

i leave out the bathroom and begin looking for some heels to wear. i settle on my silver butterfly ones i found from an ad on tiktok.

i'm so lucky my nails are done at the moment. any other time my toe nails are never done. "necklace or no necklace?" i ask my mom

"no necklace but put on earrings" she say

i look through jewelry box for some earrings and put on a random pair.

at the top of my screen a text message comes through from billie.
