I sat in my new living room. I had just moved...again. At this point I am now in Chicago, and I start a new school tomorrow. "Beatrice," my mom called out. "Yes?" I responded. "It's time for for bed, you have a big day tomorrow!" she yelled. "Okay," I told her and went to my bedroom. In minutes I was asleep, but the time it took me to fall asleep felt like the amount of sleep I got.

I was awoken by a loud banging on my door. "Beatrice! Get your butt out of bed and make the family breakfast!" my father shouted. I didn't like my father. He was always making me do things parents should be doing. Like cooking and cleaning the entire house. He would also beat me if I didn't do the chores correctly, or if I come home too late, and stuff like that.

"Coming!" I yelled, slipping on a new shirt and a pair of jeans and a graphic tee. I started by pouring coffee, which I started the night before so I don't run late. I then fix some toast and eggs. After everyone else was fed, I grabbed an apple and said good-bye to my mother and brother, Caleb. I walked out the door and climbed into my car.

It only took me ten minutes to get there, so I sat in my car and read a book until I could go in. Once I did go in, I quickly found my way to the office to get my schedule and textbooks. As I was walking out I glanced at my classes:

1- Math

2- English

3- Music

4- Lunch

5- Art

6- History

7- Science

8- Gym

I find my locker. Standing at the locker to the left was standing a girl there with mocha skin and dark, short hair that went to her chin. "Hi. You must be new here. I'm Christina," she chirps and juts out her hand. I shake it to be polite. "Can I see your schedule?" she asked. "Sure..?" I say, handing it to her. "Oh, yay! You and I have all the same classes together!" she squealed. Everyone in the hall looks at her and she blushes.

When her cheeks finaly turn back to their normal color, we head to our first period class. I see Christina walk over to a guy with blonde hair and she kisses him. She sits next to him so I sit in the only other open seat. I look over to see a guy sitting next to me. He has the most amazing blue eyes that I have ever seen.

"You have pretty eyes, too, you know," he says. I give him a puzzled look. "I guess you were thinking out loud?" he responded. At what he said, I knew I was going to blush the rest of the morning.
