Chapter 17

Tris' POV 

When I wake up, I hear the elevator moving. I look at the time on my phone. It's 1:30 in the morning. I hear the elevator open on my floor. I get out of bed to see who it is when suddenly, everything goes black.

Tobias' POV 

When I wake up, I don't feel Tris infront of me. She must be in the bathroom or downstairs with the gang. I decide to check the room first. Not in the bathroom or the closet. She must be downstairs. I call the elevator up. When it gets to me, I hop on and press the button for the bottom floor. It takes maybe thirty seconds for the doors to open. "Hey guys, have you seen Tris?" I ask when I step off. Everyone stops what they are doing when I ask this. "Not again!" Uriah shouts. "What? What do you mean 'not again'?" I ask, raising my voice. "We haven't seen her this morning. We though she was up in her room with you," Christina explains. Oh man. She's been kidnapped. Again. 

"Well, we have three main suspects. Peter, Lauren, and Al. There is also the slight possibility of Eric. Who should we check firts?" Will tells us. "How about we split up? Uriah and Marlene, go check Peter, Zeke and Shauna, go check Al. Christina, Will, and Lynn go check Eric. I've got Lauren," I tell them. They all agree to the plan and head out. 

Tris' POV 

I wake up in a bedroom. There are blue walls and only a bed in the room. The windows are covered. When I try the door, it is locked. No way to get out.'Why does this keep happening to me?' I think to myself. Just then the door opens and Lauren steps through the door. "Why do you have me here?" I ask her. "Because, Four deserves someone like me, not... a thing like you," she explains as she steps closer. The next thing I know, she is puching me in the gut. I let out a scream. She punches me in the face.

After what felt like hours of torture, I hear someone else open the door and walk in. "She's all yours now," Lauren tells them. The person walks up behind me and whispers in my ear, "How are you doing?" Peter. I stiffen up a bit. I know what he is going to do to me.

As I guessed, he starts kissing my neck. He does this for a few seconds before pushing me onto the bed. "No! Stop!" I try to fight him off, but just like in the hallway, he was to big for me to fight off. He moves his mouth to my lips. His next move is not something that I didn't like, but was predictable, he starts to take my pants off. Next he goes for my shirt. As he slips his hands under the fabric, he touches my new scars from Marcus. I start to scream and cry. I slash around try to kick him but it doesn't work. He eventualy gets my shrit off and tries for my bra. Before he can get to it, someone starts baning on the door.

They finally get it open and I fight Peter even harder, but just before the person can get to me, Peter punches me in the face, and knocks me out.

Uriah's POV 

I get to Peters house and see Lauren's car in the driveway. I text Four that she is here, and get out of the car with Marlene. We walk up to the door and Marlene knocks. "What do you want?" Lauren asks irritated as she opens the door. As soon as I see her, I punch her in the face and knock her out. I hear someone yelling. "I'm guessing that's Tris," Marlene suggests and we walk in the house.

We check the lower floor first. Nothing there so we head up stairs. We start to hear screaming and crying. I get to the last door. When I tried to open it, it wa locked. This must be where Tris is. Plus I hear her crying behind it. I have no other choice but to kick it down, so I do. I get in there to see Tris, half naked on a bed crying while Peter tries to kiss her. When I get close, he knocks her out and tries to do the same to me. I stop his fist and punch him instead.

When I get him down, I pick Tris up and carry her to the car. "Oh my god! Tris! We have to get her to the hospital," Marlene tells me when she sees her. I agree and put her in the back seat of the car. I hope she is going to be alright. 

Tobias' POV 

Uriah told me Lauren was at Peter's house so he is going to find Tris. After ten more minutes, I get put in a group chat by Marlene.

M- Found Tris... meet me and Uri at hospital

4- on my way now

C,W- coming

Z,S,L- be there in 5

I get to the hospital before even Uri and Mar do so I wait by the entrance. It only takes like thirty seconds for Uriah to run up carrying Tris' limp body. "Oh my god," I mutter to myself. "Let me take her," I kind of shout at Uriah. He passes her over and gives me a look like my childhood pet died. I carry her in. "My friend was just jumped and she's knocked out!" I shout when I get in the lobby. Someone immediatly comes with a gurny to take her away. I told them she was jumped because was I really supposed to come in and say 'Hey, my friend was just kidnapped, raped, and beat to a pulp again'? They would spred the word to local news and Tris would probably never come to school again.

Me and the group sit in the waiting room while they check on Tris. Chistina is sobbing into Will's shoulder, Uriah is comforting a distesed Marlene, Zeke and Shauna are both a hot mess, Lynn took a walk because she was so upset, and I... I don't even have words that could describe what I probably look like. 

A doctor finally comes out to tell us the news. Everyone is now attent and listening. "So, she has quite a few broken bones and bruised ribs. A bit of head truamma as well, which leads to my next point. I'm sorry to say, Tris is in a comma, and if she doesn't wake up in three months... we'll have to pull the plug."
