Chapter 16

Tobias' POV 

I walked out of the room to go tell everyone Tris was ready to see them. When we get back in Tris is half way sitting up. "Hey guys," she says. Christina walks over and hugs her. "How do you feel?" Uriah ask as he sits in a chair. "Like crap," she responds. We all laugh a bit at her coment. "When are they letting yo leave?" Marlene asks as she sits in Uriah's lap. "I don't know honestly," Tris replies.

We all sit in her room and talk for a while. "You know, we still haven't gone on that date," I tell her as I slide into the space beside her in the bed. "Well, all those guys trying to get between us have kind of held up the process," she explains, giggling a bit. "I say, as soon as you are released, I will pick to up and we can finally go on our date," I tell her and give her a kiss on the forhead. "That sounds like a great idea."

Tris' POV 

I get out of the hospital today. Christina dropped of some clothes so I could change before I left. She knows about the date though, so she probably gave me some short dress to where. To my suprise, she left me some black skinny jeans, a black shirt that was kind of tight and hung off the shoulders, as well as my colectors doctor who converse. Sadly I can only where one since I hurt my ankel really bad and I will have to where a brace and use crutches for the next few weeks.

"You look great," Tobias told me as he sighned some paper and gave it to the nusre. "Thanks. So, where are we going?" I ask him as I make my way over to him. "Surpise," is all he says as he leads me out the door. "You know I hate suprises," I tell him as he opens the door for me. "I know, but you still aren't going to find out," he tells me before closing my door.

After ten minutes of driving, we pull up to Dauntless Dinner. Tobias gets out of the car and walks over to my side and opens the door. I climb out of the car and grab my crutches. When we get inside, it turns out they are doing a sining contest. They also have instruments people can play too. "I'll be right back, you go find a seat," Toby tells me as he kisses my cheek.

I walk over to a table and sit down. In less then ten seconds, Toby is sitting with me. "So, I realized that this is our first real date," he tells me as he opens a menu. "It is." We both look up from or menu and stare into eachother's eyes.

Our little staring contest is ended when a waitess walks up to take our order. "What can I get you two to drink?" she asked. "I'll have a sweet tea," I tell her. "I'll take a sprite," Toby says. "And have you decided what you want to eat?" she asks as she writes our drink ouders down. "I'm going to have a burger and fries," I explain as I close my menu. "I'll have the same," Tobias tell her as he closes his menu.

The waitress writes all this down, closes her notepad and walks away. "Can I get everyone's attention please? We are starting our little competition now. The first person we will have up is... Amanda Crossfeild," a guy on the stage says. Just then a girl steps up on stage. "Hi everyone. I'm going to be singing 'Your Song' by Ellie Goulding." She starts singing and she is a bit pichey. A bunch of other people go up. A few are pretty good, but others are are just horrible.

"Okay everyone. We have our last singer of the night. Would Tris Prior come up?" he called out. Why would he call..... Tobias. I give him a quick glare and hobbe up to the stage with my crutches. Someone gets me a stool so I can sit and perform. "Hi everyone. I'm Tris and I will be singing 'Shower' by Becky G as well as playing the Guitar," I tell them and grab the guitar.
