//Trigger Warning- mentions of abuse, kidnapping, manipulation, trauma//

They've stopped looking haven't they. They've given up. But I'm still here. I'm alive.

Reiko Zoldyck. 'The Troupe's Princess'. Rei. 'Beautiful Child'. She has many names. But one in particular made her especially weak. She trembled at the knees when she heard it. She would gag and nearly puke when she heard it. She would feel the hot tears building up on the rims of her pretty eyes. 'Princess'. She couldn't stand it. Because it's what he called her. The one who took her from her family. The one who stole all of her possible relationships, and crumbled them to dust with his bare hands. And of course with the help of the hands of 12 others.

The Phantom Troupe. They used her. She was their toy. Chrollo Lucilfer. She belonged to him especially. He basically owned  her. She wasn't allowed to follow when they went on missions, out of fear that she could possibly get hurt. She couldn't go anywhere unless under Chrollo's supervision. She was always under his watchful eye. Well eyes, since the rest of the troupe worked as security cameras for him. But there were times, when he wasn't around. It wasn't often, but when there was a mission that required the whole troupe, Reiko would be left alone. Almost alone. Hisoka Morow. Hisoka wasn't the most... comfortable person to be around. But Chrollo left him in charge of her because he usually didn't attend missions anyways, and Chrollo was aware just how powerful Hisoka was. He could keep her safe. If he wanted to. Hisoka tended to only do things that were amusing to him, or that helped him reach his goals of fighting the boss.

So when the troupe had to go on a mission that required all of them, Reiko took it as an opportunity. To escape this horrible place. To escape the constant torture and torment that she endured for 9 years. She was taken at age 10. Over the years she had learned a lot of information about the troupe. She also found that Hisoka didn't seem to hover her as much. When she was left alone with him he would barely even look at her. He would just sit and playing with his cards on top of a rock. Once the troupe had left for sure Reiko stood up and looked at Hisoka for a moment. He didn't even look back. Good. She walked to her "room", which was barely even a room. Most nights she was forced to stay with Chrollo so she wasn't in there much anyways. But she had hidden some things she had collected over the years in the small space. She walked to the dirty corner of the room and started rummaging through rubble that she had piled there. She pulled out a small dagger she had stolen from Feitan when he dropped it once, and a small dirty sheath for it that Feitan had thrown out after he "lost" the dagger. The sheath was meant to be used as a belt, but she wrapped it a few times and secured it on her upper thigh, under her black skirt so it wasn't noticeable.

Reiko walked back into the main room of the abandoned church, but didn't stop when she made it to her regular spot. Hisoka knew what she was doing, and he found it quite intriguing. "Ohh~ And just where do you think you're going?~" He said in a playful tone. "I'm leaving this dump." She hoped he wouldn't stop her. She just wanted to leave, and never come back. "That's what I thought~ Well then here, take this." He held out a small rectangle to her. Wait, is that a phone? She slowly walked over and took it from him, waiting for him to make a move and grab her. But he didn't, he simply looked up and gave her an odd grin. "Have fun~ Just text me if you need any information. My number is already in there." She glared at him. Something about this didn't feel right. "Is there a tracker in the phone?" She asked. "The boss would never allow you to leave by yourself even with a tracker. What if you were to get hurt~" He replied mockingly. She just turned to face the exit and hummed in agreement.

No other words were spoken between the two. As she walked towards the exit of the half-collapsed church. Her walk gradually became a jog, as she started full of sprinting towards the door. Reiko flung them open and breathed in the evening air. Tears rolled down her face as she stood, paralyzed. Once she regained herself, she started running towards the city.

I'm free.
