Summer smiled brightly at the girl with short brown haired and took large strides towards her. it' has been a month since she saw her best friend. Unfortunately, being a high school students means having a lot of work causing them no to hang out more.

Summer and jean might be in a same school but their classrooms where located far away from each other. jean is from the bottom class and she's in the top.

When the school works started easing, they finally saw the opportunity to hang out and they decided to meet in the cafe near their school.

"jean!" she happily greeted and hug each other. jean squinted her eyes seeing the bright smile of the ravenette.

"Wow sill bright as ever, please stay away from me a meter or 2. my eyes are hurting" jean joked causing the girl to laugh.

"so how have you been? it's been a year-"

"-actually a month"

"whatever, i just missed yous o much. look at you! you become so beautiful!"

Summer felt amused at the woman and doesn't know what to say, so she just laugh at her, her eyes were sparkling with happiness and bliss. her eyes wrinkled whenever her lips curled. it was a sight so precious and dazzling that jean loves to see.

"stop it jean. i won't grow beyond your recognition for a month"

jean just shrugs. a waiter walk towards them and asked for their orders which the pair immediately did.

"I really missed you. a whole month without my sunflower is filled with unhappiness" jean showed a grieving expression causing the female to chuckle and grin

"I'm good but i think my brother isn't"

"And here she goes" jean said with a sigh, she rolls her eyes and pouted at her best friend.

"can you just not talk about your brother maybe for a day? and just talk random things with me"

"I don't talk about my brother always!"

"Sure you don't" jean sarcastically said and sigh.

"i know you love your brother but can you maybe for a bit not speak about him, just for me please?"

summer felt tangled. she doesn't know what to talk about, all on her mind were filled with her brother. so she couldn't help but pout.

Seeing the gloomy and sad expression of her best friend, jean gave up.

"Okay fine go on. what happened to your brother. oh wait, actually i saw your brother the other day. he's with someone, they look really happy"

Hearing that her friend is willing to talk about her brother made summer feel happy. learning that her brother was with a friend and was happy causes her to show a very bright smile and amusing giggles.

"Well brother was in daze the whole day in the house. he seems to be thinking something, he even forgot to give farewell forehead kisses"

"don't worry about your brother, him and her girlfriend are probably fighting."

Summer's smile falter a bit. it was too tiny to notice and it successfully escape jean's sight.

"my brother doesn't have a girlfriend, silly"

"Really? i doubt it. the woman he's with that day was really pretty. one should feel ashamed on treating her as 'just a friend'. they look really sweet too. if they are not in relationship then i'm sure they are just in their ambiguity relationship time"

"haha, they are just friends" Summer was certain with this phrase but she doesn't know why but she felt like she herself doubted her words.

jean keep on talking about how beautiful the woman is and how close the two are, that she failed to notice the once sparkling eyes of her best friend is dimming.

"yeah they are just friends" those words were not confirming the brunette but is actually reassuring her self.

the smile was still on her face but her expression is dark. without a word, she stood up and walk away. her steps were heavy and fast and has a sense of urgency.

jean was speechless and could only call her name.

"Cut!"

The set was quiet everyone stared at the pinkette with complex expression. what they saw was something out of ordinary.

everyone waited for the director to declare a retake but after a few minutes the director is still watching the the scene with serious expression.

yeline didn't notice the stares of the others and jogs towards the director to watch herself act.

the duo stared at the tape unaware of the shocked filled gazes of the people around them.

Pei ning was scared shitless. as soon as the the first sentence of the script was recited by the female she was immediately brought on the play.

she couldn't control herself but moved according the girl's movement. fortunately, there was no adlib, if there was she would pee herself on the spot.

the female's act wasn't that polish but she was getting there, actually those dirty spots on the pinkette's act was not visible at all and if one will see it they wouldn't notice it immediately.

pei ning has been an actress since the day she was born. she came from being a child actor to the current standing she has now. And she never once saw a ne comer act that good since the debut of Calum Zalkin.

"Are you okay, pei ning?" her assistant ask worriedly causing her to immediately nod and smile. she couldn't help but glance at the actress playing summer before walking towards her assistant.

the smile the woman had and the dimming expression she showed when walking away flashes on her mind. She took a deep breath when she felt her chest tighten in sadness again. she felt the disappointment, sadness, confusion, and emptiness jean felt when she saw her best friend walk away from her without a word nor a glance.

"Your performance was great. just remember not to stare at the other party for the whole scene"

Gou Yang smiled and felt great satisfaction after seeing the influencer's performance. he's happy that he found a promising actress and very glad that he could fulfill her daughter's last wish before she passed away.

"Director, where should i stare then?"

Gou yang is also glad that yeline is not a monster, but just a newbie who practice and did her homework.

"You still have lot to learn. then don't forget to take notes when it's calum's turn to act or pei ning's"

"Yes!"

Gou yang is very satisfied.
