☾ No one's point of view ☽Two boys. One covered in dirt. The other soaking wet. "And what might have happened to you two?" A woman with long brown hair stood there. Right in front of them soft tone but hands on her hips. Ready to scold.
"We prepared three versions..."
"Pick your favourite"The taller one grinned up to her. The smaller one smiled happily. He was aware of the fact that they did something wrong, but it was too funny, to just not smile at the memory.
She sighed. What was she expecting? That those two would suddenly start to behave? She smiled at them "I doesn't matter go upstairs and clean yourselves up. And don't touch the furniture!!"The young boys started giggling while running upstairs hand in hand. They sat in the bathing tube together, splashing water in the others face.
"You know what, Shō-chan? We should go on a trip together!" The brunet's eyes started sparkling. While the ginger could only tilt his head to the side "A trip to where?""To the mall!" Now the ginger's eyes started sparkling too "I'm sure we will find the way. After all our parents took us there often enough, right?" The older one had closed his eyes and one hand under his chin, pretending to think. Tho he carefully opened one eye again to see the others reaction.
"Yes!! I'm sure we'll make it" The ginger nodded excitedly.
The brunet opened his eyes again and nodded "Then let's get ready!"
They immediately got out of the water and dried themselves. They quickly changed into clean cloths and went down the stairs. Tho they stopped before they could reach the first floor. "Listen, Shō-chan" the older whispered to the boy behind him "we have to be super quiet. We can't let my mom hear us!" The ginger nodded while brightly smiling. It was super exciting for him. They slowly tiptoed past the kitchen counter, trying to reach the back door.
The older was about to grab the doorknob when suddenly "And where are the two of you going?""....Out...side...?" The brunet more asked than stated.
His mother didn't look convinced at all, tho she knew her son well enough to be sure that she wont get any information out of him. So she directed her gaze at the slightly uncomfortable ginger next to him.
"I'll ask again, Shōyō, where are the two of you going?"
He tried to avert his gaze from the piercing stares of his friends mother."Shooyooo... I asked you a question~"
But because the older boy exactly knew that the ginger can't lie, he quickly stepped in front of him, immediately feeling the gingers hands grip his shirt.
"As I said mom; We're just going outside"As if she would buy a crapy lie like that, but well, they're just kids. She smiled.
"Just be careful to not get lost outside, ok?" Both boys nodded energetically and stormed out."Oh and Tōru!" The mother called her son once again "The mall is closed" She winked before hading back inside.
The ginger looked up at his friend, waiting for him to say something.
"You know what it doesn't matter! I said we would make a trip so let's make a trip!" He grinned at his friend, which in return smiled up to him "Yes, let's go on a trip together, Tōru"So there they were. Two boys standing at a train station, the younger one desperately clinging to his older companion.
"You don't have to be afraid Shō!" He turned his head towards the younger boy and smiled "I know the way! Just follow me and don't let go!" The younger one was truly mesmerised by the brunets confidence. He nodded slowly.
A train with no real destination. Two boys sitting in it, not older than 10.
Happily chatting. They lost count on how often they had left the train to drive back home, only to drive away again. Just the fact that they were riding the train by themselves was adventure enough...
It got late and the sun started to set.
They were on their way back home.
The younger one of them was leaning on the brunets shoulder, exhausted from their little adventure. The setting sun made one's hair look like golden fire, the other's like golden chocolate. Their chatter had died down. Silence was filling the train. Silence that allowed to enjoy the moment. Silence that made you feel at peace.
The brunet leaned his head on the ginger's.
"Sho?"
"Mhm?"
"Let's do this again..."
"But it's getting kinda late..."
"Not now, baka. When we're older..."
The ginger sat up looking at the brunet
He nodded "Ok. Let's do this again when we're older"
Warm light. Warm smiles.Then darkness.
Two boys shot up from their sleep. Frankly looking around. Desperately trying to remember.
The rooms dark but moonlit.
