☀︎ Shōyō ☀︎

The next days passed by rather quickly. School was ok, especially with Yoshino-san and Yuui-chan there, and practise was fun as always.
So nothing really happened and days went by in a blur... until time seemed to halt.
I know how that sounds but that is exactly how it felt.

Right after practice, exhausted and ready to fall asleep right where i stood, my phone lit up:

Oikawa-san
Hey Shōyō-kun, how about we meet tomorrow for that tutoring we talked about?

He actually wants to meet up? He actually wants to spend his free time helping me?

I couldn't tear my eyes away from the screen. A little message is able to throw me off this much, huh? The din of my normally noisy teammates seemed to quiet down and my vision seemed to spotlight my phone and only my phone.

Pretty cheesy, isn't it?

"...ta" "Hinata!"

"Huh?!" My attention was pulled away from my phone and I looked up to meet the gaze of an angry titan. "What the hell! Are you ignoring me?!" I could practically see the vein by his temple. "Calm down Bakeyama. 's not like that. Just got a bit distracted" I looked away and continued to change. "So? What did you need?" I could see that Kageyama was still standing there, seemingly frozen in place. "....Nothing"

That's weird. "Ok then", I grabbed my bag and headed towards the door, "I'll be off. See you tomorrow!"

With Yuui-chan and Yoshino-san at the bottom of the stairs, waiting, I took one last glance to my phone, before rushing down to get to them.

You
That sounds great. Just tell me time and place. I'll be there.
Thank you Oikawa-san.

"You need me to do what now?" Yoshino-san looked at me with tired eyes. "Pleeease! You don't have to say anything just stand by so Bakeyama doesn't attack me!!"
He did not look impressed.

Turns out to be able to meet Oikawa I would have to leave practise early. It's not something I like to do, but Oikawa already went out of his way to even offer to help me study and, call me stupid, but in my mind it would be kinda rude to force my packed schedule on him. The only thing left to do was telling the team. I could tell coach later at the beginning of practise.

"Why do you even have to leave early. Isn't Volleyball super important to you?"
"Well yea of course but-" I stoped. It was embarrassing for me to admit I needed tutoring even after everything Yoshino-san explained so much to me. He raised an eyebrow, clearly noticing how uncomfortable I was.

"Ahh... It doesn't really matter, now does it? I'll accompany you" He smiled slightly "Don't want you getting murder, now do we?" I laughed. He might act like he doesn't care but he clearly does.
That's tsundere for you.

I arrived early at the cafe, waiting for Shōyō. I was so glad when he agreed to meet up. Yea sure its for tutoring purpose but we can still get to know each other better, right? Anyway it was nerve wrecking, sitting in the cafe all by myself, waiting for him to arrive.

The jingle of the entrance door caught my attention, my eyes immediately focusing on the person coming in. Well that isn't Shōyō ... I need to calm down. I began looking out of the window trying my best not to look at the door whenever someone entered.

"Hey Oikawa-san... Sorry for the wait"

And there he was. Standing in front of me with a small smile and clearly out of breath.
I straightened my back and smiled: "No worries. Is everything ok?" He took a seat opposite to mine and set his school bag down "Yea, I'm good. Some teammates didn't want me to leave early" He shrugged, smiling, amused by the memory. "Ah...well I'm glad you could make it. I'll get myself a coffee real quick, do you want anything?" I stood up fishing for my wallet in my back pocket. "Green tea? Please?" He held some money in my direction but I put his hand down, smiling softly "It's fine. My treat!" He looked surprised but recovered quickly and smiled brightly: "Thank you!" Stunned for a second, I quickly pulled my hand away and cleared my throat. "I'll be back in a second"

I went over to the counter trying to look as relaxed as always, but believe me when I tell you I was freaking out internally. If he continues looking at me like that... This will be a long afternoon.

The tutoring went surprisingly well. Shōyō was rather intelligent and picked up on things quickly, when explained the correct way. "Good job Sho! Except for a few minor mistakes everything seems fine" I looked up from the paper, when no exaggerating yelp of accomplishment came from the younger, only to find him starring at me with furrowed eyebrows. Huh? Did I say- I called him Sho!
I was about to ramble out some weird kind of explanation, when Shōyō's features softened. "Hah I'm glad. All thanks to you Oikawa"

Did he just... HE DROPPED THE SAN! That sure was surprising, but I welcomed it nevertheless.
"Yea don't worry. You're a fast learner, so how about we focus a bit on Maths... I assume you don't need any help in english" I searched for my old math book, looking at him from the corner of my eye. He scratched his neck smiling "Nope, one of the few. Heh"
I chuckled, sliding my notes to him.
"Here take a look at that. Do you understand how I came to this solution?" I observed as he glared at the text book in front him, clearly trying to remember what he learned in class.
"Oh! Yea sure, you..." He went on to explain my thought process and I corrected some haste-mistakes he did along the way.

"Yea, correct. And here-"
"What are you doing here, Shittykawa?" Ohh.. I know that voice. Slowly, dreading of who I was ought to see, I turned my head.
"Iwa-chan? What are you-"
"Is this ass bothering you?" I gritted my teeth. You are the one being a bother!
"Oh- ah.. no it's fine... Iwaizumi-san, right? Oikawa is tutoring me" Shōyō looked rather scared. Can't blame him. Iwa had something on him when he was tense like that...

He relaxed and I could see how Shōyō visibly relaxed too. "Oh I didn't know. Sorry"
"Oh no need for that. It's fine!" Shōyō smiled and motioned to the seat in between us, asking Iwa if he wants to join us. Iwa gladly took the seat, leaned back and ignored the pointed look I gave him. "You know, Hinata, shittykawa here, wasn't the best either when we were your grade" he smirked in my direction before turning back to a surprised Shōyō. I'm gonna kill him!
"Really?" his eyes wandered to me and I rolled my eyes.
"Yep! Now, of course, he is on top, but back then I was always the better one in academics"
"And he won't shut up about it!" I smiled bitterly.

"How about I help tutoring you, so this jerk's not teaching you anything stupid?" I could clearly see, that he was only doing this to get on my nerves, his smirk said it all.
"No thanks Iwa-chan! Shōyō and I are doing fine on our own! Now leave" the last part was pressed through my teeth so, hopefully, only he could hear it.
"Let him decide, you jackass!" I received a slap to the back of my head, with a force that made my forehead connect with the books spread across the table. I groaned in pain. Whyyy??

Giggles made my eyes look up at the sunshine boy across from me. "Yes sure. Thank you very much, Iwaizumi-san" I can only repeat myself; Whyyy??

So there we were; Me explaining something to Shōyō, Iwa immediately saying there were better ways of doing or explaining it and Shōyō constantly laughing at my misery.

"We got so much done until you came! Now we're working on the same problem for good 30 minutes!"
"Yea well not may problem that you suck at explaining!"
And Shōyō giggled.

"Sho please tell him to leave. I'm loosing my mind!" Shōyō was about to answer when his phone lit up. He read the message and his smile faltered.
"I'm sorry I can't do that, but I have to leave now. Mom just texted me"
He stood up putting his stuff in his bag. I turned to Iwa for a reaction, but only found him staring at me with furrowed brows. Wha-??

"Well ok then. If you need help again text me ok?" I stood up too, reading to accompany him outside. He nodded but when he noticed he blushed a bit -cute- and held his arms out. "You don't have to accompany me, it's fine. Thank you so much for the help, you too Iwaizumi-san!"

I plopped back down, watching Shōyō leave, finally looking back at Iwa. He was still looking at me with furrowed eyebrows.

"What?"

"Sho?"

Oh
