When i flipped on the radio that night, i couldn't believe the voice i heard coming through the speakers...It was her! After so many years she finally did it. i quieted down, listening in carefully,

"It's officially over! After so many years of pain and suffering, we left victorious. So leave your bunkers and rejoice! You're free."

Tears had formed in my eyes, along with my husbands. Shes coming home, i though, my babys coming home. I left the bunker, the sun hitting my pale skin after so long.

"Your sister did it Calvin. Your sacrifice was and never will be for nothing. We miss you Cal...Thankyou"

The tears that were burning like a hungry flame were now falling freely down my face. a mix of emotions swirling together all at once, Happiness, Excitement and sadness all forming one strong emotion. It was time, i pressed the button and the gates whirred to life, groaning with years of rust and age. I had waited so long to be free of that dark, damp box that i called home, but now it was over, it's finally over.

I could hear the bike before i saw it as i bounced on the balls of my feet, unable to hide my pure excitement. As the bikes engine came to a quiet stop, i watched as she slowly rose and got of the bike. i could no longer hide my joy as i tackled the girl to the ground,

"Woah! Hiya Mum! its been awhile" She flashed a large grin at her ma, tears of her own beginning to fall.

"It's been awhile! That's all your going to say! I missed you, you idiot!" I pulled my girl into a tight hug. the tears still falling and yet all I could feel was pure joy as i looked at my daughter and all she had accomplished.
