Part 6

I stopped in my tracks and slowly turned around. The king looked at the prince. "I think she will be able to find the way on her own, isn't that right?". He said looking at me in the end. I slowly nodded my head. "See, no need to go, just sit and eat with your family". The king said, continuing eating his food.

I saw the prince clench his jaw and sit down. I bowed one last time and left the dining room. That was weird. Why would he want to show me the way? It's not like i've never been here. I tried to let the thoughts go and walked to the garden.

"You know what you need to do". The gardener said, shoving a hedge trimmer into my hands. By doing that, it cut my finger. Blood slowly came out of the cut. "Great". I said sighing. I just let it drip and got to work. Why can't they ask someone with a lot of arm strength to do this? Have you seen my chicken arms?

After i was done trimming the edge, i had to water the flowers. This is something i don't mind. It's actually very calming. You don't have to think about anything while pouring water over the flowers. But as usual, you can never do anything in peace here at the castle.

"I found you. Don't you usually trim the hedge?". I heard coming from a voice behind me. I poured the last bit of water and turned around. "I already did that". I said walking away from him, but got stopped because he grabbed my arm. I looked at him with a confused face as he grabbed my hand. "You cut yourself?".

I pulled my arm out of his grip. "It's nothing". I said walked again. "You should put a bandaid on that". "Nah i'm fine". "Doesn't it hurt?". "Nope". "What if it gets infected?". "It won't". "What if more blood comes out?". I stopped in my tracks, making him slightly bump into me. "Why are you asking all these questions?".

"I-i". "It's just a small cut". I said with a giggle. He didn't say anything, but suddenly his eyes went wide. Without saying anything he turned around and walked away from me. What's going on? I looked behind me and saw the King walking in the garden. Is he not allowed to talk to the maids? I thought we weren't allowed to talk to the royal family. Didn't know it was also the other way around.

LATER IN THE EVENING
All the maids had a little meeting with the headmaster. "Since we're preparing for the event, we only need half of the maids tonight, the rest will have a night off again, tomorrow we will switch so everyone has some free time". Great, i really wanna go back to the ice rink.

She started saying the names of who had tonight off. "-And y/n, i'll see you guys back at 12. You". She said pointing at me. "Make sure to be on time". I nodded my head and quickly rushed to change my clothes. "Y/n where are-". Before she could finish her sentence, i was already gone. I left the castle and excitedly made my way to the ice rink.

Arriving at the building i could already feel the cold temperature. This time there really wasn't anyone there. I went to the lockerroom and got my skates. Putting them on felt like meeting an old friend. I made my way to the ice rink. A smile forming on my face.

I stood on the ice. "Ah, this feels nice".  I skated around. I really missed this. I put on some music and tried to do a routine i still remembered. Something about this routine just had a special feeling to it. Everything just felt right. Not caring about anyone watching you. You can do whatever you want.

This is a feeling i haven't felt in a long time. In the castle we're treated like dogs in a cage. Everything is decided for you. On the ice, it's all on you. No one to control you. Just let the skates glide over the ice and everything will come naturally.

SUNGHOON'S POV
Another evening, another time to escape. Without anyone noticing. I left the castle and made my way to the ice rink. The place I call home. This was something that was taken away from me at a young age. It felt like a piece of my heart was ripped out of me. I arrived at the building seeing that the lights were on.

That's weird. There shouldn't be anyone around this time. I opened the door and heard music. There is definitely someone here. Out of curiosity, I walked around the corner to see who was on the ice. She's really good. Without noticing, i had been watching her for a very long time. But something about this person was really familiar. I had the same feeling, when i saw.....
