Part 3

The sudden voice startled me. I turned around and saw someone standing there. He looked stunning. "I-i". I couldn't form any words. "You know, that's not the way we talk in this castle right?". He said stepping closer to me. "I-i was just talking to myself". I said gaining more confidence and standing up straight.

He let out a laugh. "You should feel honored to work in a beautiful castle like this". He said spreading his arms and turning around, showing me the beautiful castle. "Feel honored my ass". I said to myself. "Excuse me?". He said. I just rolled my eyes. "You should watch your language". He said pointing at me.

"Oh really? And who are you to tell me that?". I said crossing my arms. He scoffed and started walking past me, but stopped right behind me. "I hope you do realize you're talking to the prince". My eyes widened. I heard him laugh and walk through the big doors, disappearing into the dining room.

I could hear all the other housekeepers being excited about seeing the prince. I was still a bit in shock. Did i just talk in an informal way to the prince? Wait, but he was an ass tho. I sighed and shook my head. Way to go y/n. I remembered miss Lee told me to help in the garden.

I made my way to the garden. "Oh great you're finally here. What took you so long?". The gardener asked. "Oh, u-hm, i-i had some trouble finding the way here". "Next time don't be late, we need everything to be perfect". He gave me a hedge trimmer. "You do that side and i'll do this side". He walked away from me.

After 30 minutes i could really feel the sun burning. "Why is it so damn hot today?". I said wiping my sweat off my forehead. "Because the sun is shining". Someone said. I turned around. "You again". He giggled. "Not a very formal way to greet the prince". He said coming closer to me. He was holding an umbrella to block the sun.

I just rolled my eyes and trimmed the hedge. "Ignoring the prince now?". "I'm not ignoring you, i'm just not in the mood to talk to you right now". I said, not looking at him. "That's kind of the same thing". "Can't you just let me do my work". I said turning to look at him. "I wanna finish this before they're gonna ask me to do even more". I gave him a fake smile and turned back to the hedge.

"Yes ma'am, i'll leave now". He said walking a way with a grin on his face. Why did I only meet him an hour ago and he's already getting on my nerves? He may be the prince, but i'm not gonna treat him like one if he acts like this.

After another hour i was finally done with the hedge. "Go shower, you smell". The gardener said as he walked away holding his nose. Why are all these people so mean today? I walked back into the castle and went to the housekeepers bathroom. I grabbed a new uniform and went into the shower. This was the only time when i could feel a bit relaxed and clear my thoughts.

We only had 3 minutes before the water would turn cold. I quickly showered and put on my clothes after that. I dried my hair and looked at the time. It's finally time for lunch. I went into our little dining room. I made a sandwich and sat down. "Omg did you see how handsome the prince was?". "I know right, i could almost touch him when he walked past us".

I just scoffed. "Y/n you're just mad because you missed him". I turned my head and gave a fake smile. "Yes, i'm very mad about that". I turned my head back and rolled my eyes. "He's gonna be mine anyway". One of them said.

"Girls it's time to clean the ball room". The headmaster came into the dining room. I finished my sandwich and walked to the ball room. She told us what had to be done. "Next week there will be a big event to celebrate the king and queen's anniversary". We all got our own tasks. I had to get the ornaments from the basement.

I started walking to the stairs that led to the basement. I opened the door and it showed me a dark hole. "Why did they pick me to go down there". I said starting to tense up. I let out a deep breath. "Okay you can do this". I started preparing myself. As i was about to step on the first stair step, a voice scared the hell out of me.

"I wouldn't go down there if i were you"
