Once lived a very beautiful princess in a castle far away from everyone. She got everything her heart desires. Everyone fell in love with her at first sight. I mean who wouldn't fall in love with a princess, right? But only a prince could make her heart beat a little faster.....

... not long after their first interaction,
they both started having the desire to see each other at every moment of the day. The prince and princess slowly fell in love. No one could separate them. They were one and belonged together. Everyone  cheered for them and they lived a happily ever after....

My story didn't turn out like the typical fairy tales. It wasn't a beautiful love story like those. In fact it was one of the most tragic, frustrated and sad love story. I would've never known that i would end up in a situation like this. Just an ordinary girl, trying to live her life. A mother that wanted the best for her and her daughter, was something i couldn't see.

The moment we arrived at the castle, it felt like my life got destroyed. Living in a castle sounds fun, until all you do is clean and follow orders from others. Being a 17 year old girl, you just want to live a free life. Here at the castle they would treat you like a dog. Everything seemed to get worse by the day, until i saw that mesmerizing figure on the ice.

So beautiful, so elegant, just perfect. Never would i've guessed it was the Prince. All i thought about was to get him out of my head. Why would a prince like him fall for a maid like me? But keeping that thought away became very difficult due to seeing him everyday. It felt like faith brought us together every time.

Seeing him made the days better. Until the King started to notice what was going on.
He tried to keeps us apart. Not wanting a maid to ruin the family image. Seeing him with that another girl made my heart ache. That was the moment i realised he wasn't just the jerk who tried to annoy me, but someone i loved deeply.

That one night, is a night i will never forget. It started off perfect, but it had to end so tragic. The image of my mother laying on the ground keeps playing in my head. I'm sorry mom for calling you a monster. You're anything but that. I miss you and i want to hold you in my arms again. A tear slipped out of my eye.

"Hey, is everything alright?". A voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked next to me and saw Sunghoon with his arm wrapped around my shoulder, looking worried. A small smile formed on my lips and i slowly nodded. "I'm okay". "What were you thinking about?". I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder. "About everything that happened". He wrapped his other arm around me and hugged my tight.

"Let's forget about everything that happened, all that matters is that i have you in my arms right now". I giggled. "What?". He asked. "Nothing". We sat in comforting silence for a moment.
"Y/n?". "Yes". I said lifting my head up to look at him. Without saying something, he grabbed my hand and pulled me with him.
"What are you doing?". "Put on your skates".

We both put on our skates and got onto the ice. "Okay, now i want you to close your eyes". Trusting him, i closed my eyes. I heard him skate around me. I felt his presence behind me. Thats when he whispered in my ear "i love you, y/f/n". I opened my eyes, a bit in shock of what he just said. I heard him giggle and skate away.  I turned around and saw him happily skate around. "Are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna join me?". I laughed and skated up to him.

Just like that our story didn't go like the ones in the fairy tales. But in the end it brought me and Sunghoon together. I will never let someone come between us. Its me and Sunghoon against the world.
